HOWEVER the readiness of the Russians to deploy , no matter what, and then scrapping the plans , temporarily, as a clear response to the obama administration's POSSIBLE new approach of less confrontation - SHOWS something:

RUSSIA -- has demonstrated to everyone a very important point that can NOT be missed by ALL countries as well as the USA itself:

THE USA is the country that has been PROVOCATIVE in regions...and if it continues -- countries that have the advantage of "home turf" WILL respond appropriately...but if the USA also scales down or "calms down" from these provocative actions - countries will also respond IN KIND.

it's a very important signal which also demonstrates that the USA MIGHT have the global military presence but can NEVER pay attention to ALL of them AT ONCE should its provocations continue in numerous regions.

Moscow and Beijing DROPPED their generations-long critical quarrels and RAN TO EACH OTHER's ARMS for common security - INCLUDING military cooperation!!!

DOES the USA REALLY think these cultures are IDIOTS and don't see right through the geopolitical games the USA had been playing to render THEM IMPOTENT so the USA , with its presence in their neighbhorhood will OBEY? the USA is DREAMING !!

2) the USA invasion of Iraq PROVED to the Iranians that the USA can NOT be trusted and its presence in the "sands of ancient mesopotamia" IS a THREAT TO THEIR OWN sovereignty.

what did it produce -- the iranians began to FLEX their ISLAMIC SHIITE muscle and influence in SHIITE DOMINATED IRAQ..and NOW are the REAL "outside power" in IRAQ as a result.....without WHOM the UNITED STATES can NOT make any real moves UNLESS IRAN privately allows by "calming down" its shiite majority fellow muslims.!
