You Only Need To Be A Human To Stand With Gaza
The mind reels. Another atrocity in Gaza: Israel just hit its sixth U.N. school sheltering displaced Palestinians, this time in Rafah, killing at least 10 in what U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called "a moral outrage and a criminal act." There have been so many, too many to bear. Again, the only succor comes from the courage of those bearing witness: Among them, UN spokesman Chris Gunness, who broke down sobbing on air; Naomi Wolf, ceaselessly reporting, and now adding poems of grief and peace; other journalists insisting on the truth here, here and here; Facebook and Twitter reports from #Gaza Under Attack; and video posted byAbu Shaar showing an Israeli airstrike on Gazan ambulances arriving to an earlier attack, followed by the death of journalist Ramy Ryan. Warning: very graphic. But looking seems the least we can do.
