Everyone Gets A Gun: Kids Should Learn Readin' and Writin' and Shootin' 'Cause Guns Make Our Lives Better, Also Government-Subsidized Ammunition!
What, you thought the NRA couldn't get any gun-nuttier? They can, and did. Their new video commentary - part of a series aimed at getting millenials to get out there and buy themselves some firearms, the last of which slammed media "propaganda" that insists on labelling mass deaths by gun "shootings" - argues that just like we have laws to protect access to education and parks and voting and free speech, we should have them for guns, which are just like that, and even though wussy liburals say guns are "bad" and "dangerous," actually "people need guns," which is why we should have not gun-free but gun-required zones, where kids need to learn to shoot (even if they don't want to) to advance to the next grade, and the government could subsidize shooting (A Year's Free Ammunition!) just like education and other "things we value" like our Founding Fathers wanted, also freedom, also keep that cash flow coming! According to the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, over 100,000 people in the U.S. are shot each year by guns; each day, 289 are shot, and 86 die. So sure: More guns must be the answer.
