The Nakba Map
Seeking to promote "an alternative memory to the hegemonic Zionist memory," the Israeli group Zochrot (“Remembering”) has published the first Hebrew-language map of the 1947-48 Palestinian Nakba that saw the destruction of over 600 Arab villages and the expulsion of over 750,000 Palestinians - what they and many others view as "‘ground zero’ of the Israeli-Palestine conflict." The Nakba, they argue, is "the disaster of the Palestinian people," but also of today's Jews, the supposed "winners."
