Westboro's New Neighbors: Where There Is Hate, There Is Also Love, and Paint

Cool move by Planting Peace, a multi-pronged progressive nonprofit, which has bought a house in Kansas directly across from the infamous Westboro Baptist Church and is painting it this week with the rainbow colors of gay pride. Part of the group's anti-bullying campaign, the newly refurbished Equality House will serve as a gay rights resource center, as well as "a visual reminder of our commitment, as global citizens, to equality for all.” Bringing it home. Can't wait for the block party.
"The concept is to show that where there is hate, there is also love...There is no better place to counterbalance hate than at the Westboro Baptist Church." - founder Aaron Jackson
