The sequester's expected $85 billion in cuts to the federal budget mean the Navy's Blue Angels and Air Force's Thunderbirds will likely cancel months of  precision flying performances, thus depriving many young viewers of what Florida's Republican State Sen. Don Gaetz calls his constituents’ “civic religion” - or what some of us call brainwashing kids into fantasizing about how cool it would be to fly one of those things in some war someplace without having to think too hard about the implications thereof. In truth, some say the sequester, while somewhat of a chainsaw approach to budget cuts, may be just what's needed to trim an obscenely bloated defense budget that's topping out at over $530 billion - even though the Borowitz Report warns it could also hamper our ability to invade countries for absolutely no reason.
