A Bunch of GOP Men Still Don't Think Women Need Protection Against Domestic Violence But Thankfully They're Outnumbered

The Senate managed to pass the no-brainer that is the Violence Against Women Act today with bipartisan support, but 22 conservative white guys still voted against it - including GOP rising star and terrible human being Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) - for reasons that remain elusive. This, despite an eloquent plea from one Democrat who tried to explain why the issue is one of life and death, not politics. Last week, eight of them voted not to even have to talk about it. Here they are, in case you want to yell at them, and below are all 22. We wish them good luck in future elections.

"Delay isn’t an option when three women are still killed by their husbands or boyfriends every day. Delay isn’t an option when countless women still live in fear of abuse, and when one in five have been victims of rape. This issue should be beyond debate – the House should follow the Senate’s lead and pass the Violence Against Women Act right away. This is not a Democratic or Republican issue – it’s an issue of justice and compassion." - White House statement from Joe Biden.
