Sketchy In Ohio: Election Officials (Allegedly) Botch Their Most Basic Job

The latest eye-popping snafu for voters in all-important Ohio is an election mailer sent out in three precincts (won by Obama in 2008) that announced the wrong location and date - Nov. 8 - to vote, which GOP-controlled election officials called "just a mistake." What's come before: A GOP consultant charged with voter fraud, a court battle over a GOP effort to curtail early voting, a study that labeled Ohio's voting system a “failure” in protecting the integrity of elections, the use of voting machines with extensive corporate ties to Tagg Romney, whose private equity firm Solamere Capital bills itself as a “fund of funds” with a vast network of political connections offering “unique access” to, in turn, a world of crony capitalism populated by a massive, murky and elite set of other Romney-linked equity firms and hedge funds, including Bain. Hmm. Just sayin'.
Update: Officials in Arizona's Maricopa County listed the wrong election date in Spanish for the second time. They also made several other "mistakes."
