Literature vs. Traffic

Citing "the modest power of the written word,” the anonymous Spanish art collective Luzinterruptus transformed downtown Melbourne into "a river of books (in) which literature took control of the streets," using 10,000 illuminated, donated books that, at the end of the "intervention," were claimed by spectators. The group uses light and social change as key themes in its exhibits, which have also featured plastic bags and the work of miners.
