Judge Says Zimmerman's A Liar and Manipulator Who Planned to Skip But Lets Him Go Anyway, So Then He Asks For More Money From Like-Minded People?!?
In a scathing order at Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman's bond hearing, a Florida judge said Zimmerman lied about his money, "tried to manipulate the system when he has been presented the opportunity to do so,” and planned to flee the country with other people's money - but then gave him bail of $1 million. Under Florida law, Zimmerman only has to raise $100,000; he has more than that, so he's out. Unimaginable: this scenario if the colors of the victim and perpetrator were reversed. Just saying.
Update: Now, ever victimized and Muscular-Dystrophy-Telethon style, he's asking for more money from those who aso would have shot the unarmed Trayvon Martin and thus "who feel this case is an affront to their constitutional rights - now is the time to show your support."
Re-Update: He's out. His lawyer's "thrilled." Alone among humanity.
From the judge's ruling:
"Under any definition, the defendant has flaunted the system," the judge wrote. "Counsel has attempted to portray the defendant as being a confused young man who was fearful and experienced a moment of weakness and who may have also have acted out of a sense of 'betrayal' by the system. Based upon all the evidence presented, this court finds the opposite. The defendant tried to manipulate the system when he has been presented the opportunity to do so."
From Zimmerman's plea for more money please.
"For those who have given in the past, for those who have thought about giving, for those who feel Mr. Zimmerman was justified in his actions, for those who feel they would do the same if they were in Mr. Zimmerman's shoes, for those that think Mr. Zimmerman has been treated unfairly by the media, for those who feel Mr. Zimmerman has been falsely accused as a racist, for those who feel this case is an affront to their constitutional rights -- now is the time to show your support."
