There are already too many people on earth, what is going on here? More distractions from the real issues, such as the destruction of the human race by despoiling this earth.
There seem to be 2 issues in article, one is defining beginning of life (which has nothing to do with term of pregnancy), and second setting a drop dead cut off date for any type of abortion. Counting 'egg drop' as the beginning of life is like saying the 'yolk is on you'.
There seems to be so much concern to do the right Godly thing, must be that the handwriting is on the wall, we need to believe in an after life, because we are doomed here on earth.
Maybe 'egg drop' will become a 'fore life' existence.

Is Arizona a theocracy?

Arizona's religiously based anti-abortion laws talk about "life" but mean the "soul" and should face a strong attack under the First Amendment, because many religions have completely different conceptions of when the soul enters the body, or "ensoulment."

Aristotle taught about changing souls and that it enters the fetus after 40 days. Early Christians adopted Aristotle's view. Islam traditionally saw ensoulment as occurring from between 40 and 120 days. The Talmud says ensoulment after 40 days, but other Jewish sources have different opinions, including at conception.

When an audience member asked this question of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother Mirra Alfassa, she replied that ensoulment can occur at conception in the case of a loving decision to have a child, but in other circumstances may occur much later, even as late as child birth when the child draws her first breath.

Why do we have to have these nebulous unproven phenomenon like Souls and God and Ten Commandments in Government? And why do we have to pay for the Vagina Police?

Having a child or not, should be the exclusive choice of the woman having it.. When I modify my body, like when I get a vacectomy or Tatoo, I donʻt have to get permisson from the government to do so. An abortion is a terrible thing, but so is growing up with out any food or diapers only to graduate to prison for the rest of your life. Why are Republicans such cold reptiles that they care more about the unborn and the dead than they do about the living? They support unlimited population growth, but refuse to share in the fruits of labor like basic child support and education. What are they after anyway? A nation of slaves? Thatʻs all I can figure....
