An Extra Tactical Edge

The National Rifle Association's online store has a new item: Concealed Carry hoodies, featuring holster and double mag pouch "for optimum draw" and "ideal for carrying your favorite compact to mid-size pistol." Their cost: $59.95 - $64.95. Their timing: priceless. Colbert nails it.

Show AllMeh, not impressed. That weapon is probably gonna be bouncing against your ribs as you walk. Good enough for amateurs tho... Better off with a normal outside waistband holster and tuck the hoodie underneath at the bottom so it doesn't ride up.
How convenient, an extra pocket "ideal for carrying your favorite compact to mid-size pistol." At least the NRA is making easier for you to carry your cold metal penis equalizer.
I guess you could also carry your skittles and ice tea in it. But I doubt you'd be shopping on the NRA site if you don't carry a "metal penis equalizer".
Oh the irony.
Now that's what you call 'Class'...
NRA to our children: "Don't be like Trayvon Martin. This is the hoodie for you (plus accoutrements)."
It would be ideal if it were made of kevlar.
So the wearer couldn't accidentally shoot himself when he groped for the gun.

It's time to get your Obama for President HOODIE.

I think all the neighborhood watches should equip their volunteers with one.
I noticed the wedding band on the model's hand. I guess this demonstrates that this product is the perfect Father's Day gift. Robert Bales afterall is a married father of two.
It won't be long before the NRA comes out with a version for women.
Ekshully, Dear Anti-Gunnies, I would like one of these for when I'm walking back in the woods where coyotes and bears dwell in pretty large numbers. This is rural Maine, after all.
I've also seen wolves and cougars around here, and I'd best be prepared in case we stumble accidentally upon one another. I don't want a startled, large predator to think I pose something of a threat, or look like a good meal. No, siree.
Also, just in case I have to fend off a stray "hunter" who insists he can shoot prey on my property and I don't want him to. Renegade "hunters" have been known to threaten and even shoot landowners who don't like their presence.
And for walking down city streets at night, if I should happen to be in such a situation at some point. Too many two-legged marauders about to trust all will be well if I don't have means of self-defense.
Thank you Cleanearth for your comment. I find it morbidly amusing that (capital L) Liberals still cling to Gun Grabbing like the Gospel Truth. A gun is a tool. Yes, often a tool designed to take human life. I'm not going to go into whether most people are sane or rational, but most people ARE ethical. Most people deserve the right to defend themselves physically when they deem it necessary. I consider this to be a feminist position. Take away are guns and the only people to have them will be unlawful criminals and government sanctioned criminals. And we KNOW they get off scott free every time.
What can be done to stop needless violence like the killing of Trayvon Martin?
Save America, "DO AWAY WITH THE NRA", "DO AWAY WITH THE NRA", "DO AWAY WITH THE NRA", "DO AWAY WITH THE NRA"!
Please don't be so easily distracted: do away with the Democratic/Republican kakistocracy! Do away with neo-fascist corporate dictatorship. Break up and regulate the Bankster Mafia!
The killing of Trayvon Martin had nothing to do with the NRA. It had to do with a loose cannon overstepping his boundaries, and that is all! I know it's easy for you to use emotional rhetoric to blather on about your anti-gun cause, because that's easier than doing actual research, but the NRA isn't going away. In fact, approximately 80 million Americans own firearms, and they own about 300 million of them, so the NRA is but a small fraction of the actual number of firearms owners. Homicides are way down over the last three decades (a fact the anti-gunners never want to point out for some reason), while gun ownership is soaring! The facts can be disturbing to those who don't want to hear them, but they are the fact nonetheless!
"...coyotes...bears...wolves...cougars...stray "hunters"...two-legged marauders..."
Unwittingly revealing of the fearful mindset of gun-owning America - there's a menace in almost every environment, something Out To Get You.
That translates into our national and foreign policies quite readily, unfortunately. It deeply invades Americans' view of the world, including nature.
To wary - I'm only fearful if I'm not able to defend myself. If I'm armed with something with which to defend myself (gun being most effective), then I feel confident in the Deep Woods as well as on city streets.
Let's see, shall I also mention that coyotes, bears, and other predators (eagles, raccoons, weasels, rats, fishers, et al) also come after my livestock?
A gun is a necessity for a farmer with livestock; I've had to run out into the night after hearing coyotes howl nearby and shoot up into the air to scare them away. They do come back after a few days, but after doing this several times, they stay away longer and longer - although never for very long.
And then we have drug runners who love rural Maine and have moved in here because they can hide in small cabins in the wood, and steal stuff in our isolated homes.
We have a huge opoid drug problem - - Canada is right next to us and their health care system charges 50 cents for an Oxycontin (fake heroin) pill that people can sell around here for $80 or more. Pretty tempting for druggies.
Increased numbers of home invasions, too. Would you like to be at home and have thugs break in, beat you up demanding drugs and/or money? It happens too often.
So I am not fearful, just careful and prepared. To me, having a way to defend myself or my animals is Peace of Mind.
For those who depend on guns for safety. Just remember the rule from the old West. Be fast on the draw. If you lose, you're dead. You'd better be kinda slow/kinda easy go (like Wyatt Earp)/But quick on the draw/And Wyatt's word was law. . ." OK/OK/OK there the outlaw band. . ."
You notably didn't address your earlier statements about needing a gun against two-legged marauders on city streets, though that doesn't give your further statements here validity.
What's that saying? Something like, "When a man's only tool is a hammer, everything starts looking like a nail."
To (so many) people like you, nature is an enemy. The danger from fellow humans is dwelt upon and elevated. Get the guns, circle the wagons, guard the meat. Trust no one. Do you think there might be a better way to live?
Don't be thick-headed. I live in and farm along with Nature as an organic farmer. My animals run freely over my acreage and I must protect them.
Regarding city streets. I've come close to being attacked several times, but I'm wary (as you, yes?) so am on the lookout for potential problems and deliberately avoid them.
Attempts have been made (I won't go into details here) to get into my house and my city apartment when I had to go to the door with a gun and show it to get the guy(s) to leave. You think this is funny? Maybe you're a 6'4" 350 pound guy who doesn't worry about anyone attacking him..............me, not so much.
The ability to defend oneself is critical to survival. I've lived in several large cities, including Washington, D.C., where I worked in the local anti-poverty program up in the poor Black neighborhood..........there were several close calls because I am not a person of color..........so I stayed at that job only a year before going to work for the government for a while, and then leaving for another major city where I also had several close calls.
Do you really think there are no male marauders on our city streets? What world do you live in? I mean, what's your justification for ridiculing my need for a way to defend myself? .
Tthe NRA has used racism and the fear of black crime to whip up support for guns in America. This has always been about white power and the right to shoot and kill blacks that paranoid whites might believe to be a threat. The white American power structure has put millions of young blacjs in prison for what should be considered minor drug offenses and given themselves the freedom to kill any young black they fear may harm them.
Yes first Natives, then Africans, then almost everyone else, a nation founded on violence and racism. But beware that the emerging class war is not diverted into a race war!
Not to mention that putting high numbers of blacks in jail for felonies is that it strips them of the right to vote.
The way you state it makes it easy for them to use you to frighten their base. Always Always Always add that the majority are in for non-violent drug offenses, because blacks are policed and prosecuted at three times the rate that whites are for drug offenses (drug offending per capita rates are the same, so the white gross rate is six times higher, yet there are almost equal number of convictions of blacks and whites), plus crack is sentenced 18 (formerly 100) times as harshly as powder, while having the same effect, due to deliberately racist legislation.
Actually Thalidomide, racism is at the heart of gun control, and always has been. Gun control only came about as a result of white men being afraid of blacks having a way to defend themselves:

Added bonus - you can use it to break into cars.

Another wedge issue to distract the masses from the raping and pillaging they are getting from the banksters/bigoil/health profit extortion etc. (with the help of the D/R politlcal puppets).
Who f-in cares? Most states don't allow concealed carry. If I wore this with a concealed handgun, I would be promptly shot and killed by the local police.
Without a firearm? It is perfectly legal to wear clothing, the last time I checked.
War Criminals 2012!
Guns aren't inherently bad. If everyone carried a gun, Trayvon Martin would be alive and people like Zimmerman would be a lot more polite.
NRA isn't concerned for citizens rights they care more about profits for gun companies that support their PR efforts and lobbying in DC. Get a grip, no pun intended. This type of hype is doing nothng more than polarizing an already shredded citizenship here in the good ol' USA. If I carried a weapon the first dude I'd aim at would be a Zimmerman type. Neighborhood watch my ass...
