Occupy Wall Street: The Book

A collective of about 60 unnamed "Writers for the 99%" has compiled a history of OWS, from its tensions to its "tangible sense of solidarity," focusing on the "shared analysis and common language" that bound its disparate strands together. All proceeds from "Occupying Wall Street: The Inside Story of An Action That Changed America," go to OWS.
"An essential and galvanizing on-the-ground account of how oxygen suddenly and miraculously flooded back into the American brain." —Jonathan Lethem

Show AllI can't wait to see the TV movie. Is the lunchbox available yet? How about some OW action figures? It didn't take long for the Occupy Movement to become commercialized. The subtitle says it all. How, exactly, has anything "changed" in America since last September? OW was an inspiring notion which has now become an anachronism. It was over when the first encampment couldn't muster enough support from the sheeple to fend off the eviction. It's too soon. Americans aren't desperate enough to engage in real revolution. Not as long as the shopping malls are still open and the Superbowl is still on the air. But there are some heroic and dedicated people still trying to make a difference. Good for them.
Has anyone asked, where will Americans end up if Occupy Wall Street fails?
Nothing about a Jonathan Lethem either. Just pages that take forever to load and LSOs.
