Abby Z - Can we stop claiming that Bush is an "oblivious idiot?" Bush and Obama know exactly why they've done pretty much the same things - because they ARE "self-serving." George W. Bush is smarter than all of the Obama true believers put together - he at least has the good sense to advocate for his own best interests.
I agree that Obama and his henchpersons have basically given us Bush 2.0 and I despise them for it. I have said that Barry the Liar was the ultimate Trojan Horse designed to continue the Bush crimes and make a Rethug president much more likely in 2012. Barry will then be offered some extremely lucrative corporate positions and we will get stuck with a disaster like Perry or Romney who are just itching to repeal every aspect left of the New Deal and the Great Society. Still, with that said, I just have to say that Bush is one of the best examples of terminal Cranial Rectitis I have ever seen.

You may say he "screwed up" things. Why not be honest about it and admit that he is a mass murderer--a war criminal, who should be prosecuted for his cirmes against humanity. Where's the justice, when someone who commits a minor offense is put in jail, and this man (at least he LOOKs like he might be a human!) is able to wander around the country?!

And besides, Bin Laden was never lost. Bush and Cheney have always known where he was. Obama probably too, since taking office. It was decided his tapes and threats were no longer needed during every election cycle. So his elimination was facilitated. They probably still know where he is. He may crop up a few years from now like a previously dead character in a soap opera.
GW should never be underestimated. He and his ilk have become the richest and most powerful people in the world. And completely protected from any liability.

He "screwed up" murdering an old man, allegedly Bin Laden (who, I hear, had already died some years earlier). Murder and theft are not"screw ups," they are crimes, and it was the duty of the congress to do something about those crimes. Until House Speaker Pill-osi took impeachment, and democracy, off the table.

G W Bush has always been blessed. He got into Yale and Harvard with Cs. And then became President of the US of A. So he learned to believe he is entitled to take credit for non-accomplishments.

Of course during his presidency he said he did not give much thought to where Bin Laden was because, firstly he knew that Bin Laden was not responsible for 9-11 and secondly that Bin Laden was a CIA asset handed over to Pakistan ISI handlers, and thirdly he new that by then that Bin Laden was "dead" either in the operative sense if not the literal sense already.
And since the recent Bin Laden's assassination in Pakistan is just another load of lies and fiction on top of the entire myth of the war on terror, there is absolutely nothing to prevent the idiot Bush jumping on the same band-wagon of Hu-rah, we got him.
But what is really sad is that, to even argue about the merit of this guy or that in terms of the package of horse shit that is presented as historical fact requires the total suspension of logic and reason.
If you can deny physics, chemistry and engineering you can accept the official 9-11 conspiracy theory concerning ; 19 Muslims, three buildings destroyed and a too small and too deep hole in the pentagon, a hole in a forest with not enough wreckage, or conflicting parts numbers where there is, no black boxes, and four planes missing, but even that is in doubt. And even then you have to question why some of those listed as terrorists hijackers are still alive and well.
It takes USA-Today and ThinkProgress to draw stupid people into such virtuous circles of suspended logic, and Abby Zimet to reflect those media's directions deliberately or by omission of journalistic rigour here at CD. Its a total waste of time. This does nothing to develop any progress it just provides a subject for the venting of wasted hot air.
