More War Toys We Can't Afford Don't Work, Again

For the second time, the Pentagon lost contact with the experimental, much-touted, $320 million Falcon Hypersonic Technology Vehicle 2 - a key part of its so-called “Prompt Global Strike” strategy allowing them to bomb anything anywhere within an hour - minutes after it was launched over the Pacific. Some officials argued it was worth it for the nine minutes of cool data both flights gave them; others, considering the math and maybe even how many teachers could have been hired for the money, called it a crock.
