This needs to spread into an nation wide Egyptian General Strike.
Let's just declare a vote of no confidence for the entire state and national government, recall them all; and start new elections with no corporate donations or lobbying allowed.

As i have said previously, unfortunately, this looks a lot like people still buy into the dem vs repub meme and it isn't going anywhere except obama in 2012.

So what are you, personally, doing about that? Running around pressing doorbells to start a national Social Democratic Workers' Party? Good luck with that. Meanwhile, there does seem to be the beginnings of some kind of workers' movement in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, and now Montana. It's a glimmer of hope in an otherwise bleak scene, and you should be supporting it. It's right in front of you.: Fuck Obama in 2012.

The "diverse crowd" looks like about 12 people carrying signs made for them by the left-leaning organizers.

Horace----Before you shot off your big mouth, you could have at least clicked on the link to the newspaper account from Montana. There were actually two rallies against the Republican-dominated legislature. One drew about 1000 protestors against efforts to curb environmental restrictions for the sake of coal and oil extraction. The other drew "hundreds" of state employees protesting mainly proposed cuts to education.
I'm sure people in Montana are as conservative as you would like, but they can tell the difference between belt-tightening and a partisan vendetta against the things we all appreciate--good schools, clean environment--to serve the narrow, selfish interests of their rich corporate sponsors. Apparently, your party of choice didn't understand the lesson of 2010. It was for responsible and responsive government, not a corporate takeover or a Wall Street feeding frenzy.

I think it is vital that the democrats and other non republican parties expose the draconian budget cuts the republicans have proposed . One republican said that draconian cuts like reducing food for pregnant women and women with children under 5 and Head Start gives the republicans a chance to compromise because they know democrats will reject them. When the American people hear that the democrats rejected the cuts put forward by this budget the republicans can declare the democrats are the big spenders that republicans have always said they were.

I believe that our government due to all the double talk and right out lies, hypocrisy and deceit is going to fall. Demonstrations will continue in the USA and then we will see how our leaders and military deal with protests. Of course I want to see non-violent protests and peaceful change, but something inside me tells me that won't happen. The wealthy corporations and power mongers feel they have too much to lose. So much information on the web (not seen on TV news, of course) about the corrupt ways of the elite has finally come to light and people are sick of it. They see uncertain futures for their families and are finally going to protest.
