Show AllBebe should join Sharon in the vegetable garden
As mean as this comment is, I agree. Plus we all get old, and if we're wealthy enough, we're likely to end up in the vegetable garden.
But I still agree.
I'm not a fan of Bebe's, and I do agree that Israel's occupation and seige of West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem definitely must come to an end...now, but I'm also not a fan of shouting down speeches, either. If a truly democratic society is desired, we'll have to let people speak their points of view no matter how repulsive they are.
independentminded, did you read any of the articles on the links here?
Also, why not also be offended by those who were violent toward the banner holders? I am not a fan of rudeness, however, that is a matter of manners and it is non violent. Yes, it is too bad that rudeness was needed in order to get some media attention.
I suppose jon stewart would agree with you, though.
Does Israel let Palestinians speak? What if 5000 Palestinians requested a permit to have a peace march in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. Do you think for one minute Israel would let them?
There is no way Israel would permit such a thing.
Re: Bebe-f. him. And continue to protest Israeli killing of Palestinians.
"Rudeness"? "Shouting down" speeches?
These are NOTHING compared to WAR CRIMES and BRUTAL VIOLATIONS OF BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS which Israel & the U.S. have perpetrated against people, mostly Muslims, for decades now!
PRIORITIZE!
Israeli & U.S. oppression of people is FAR WORSE than "impolite" behavior!

9/11 was good for Israel.

God bless these five brave souls...
"The simple man believes every word; but the prudent discerns between good and evil." Proverbs 14:15
There were at least 6 - the cameraman could not risk getting the video taken, or the action would be pointless.
Bebe is no asset to the world jewery.
Three big cheers for these brave souls who protest Israel, in any form. Good for them.
Benjamin Netanyahu is among the Israeli/U.S. WAR CRIMINALS (including Ariel Sharon, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Barack Obama) who should be in prison now awaiting trial for their multiple war crimes and crimes against humanity.
But justice only applies to ordinary people, not these sanctimonious "leaders" of nations, and the Nuremberg Tribunals were only trials to prosecute Nazis, in spite of what Justice Robert Jackson said..
"THE CAUSE OF UNREST IN PALESTINE, AND THE ONLY CAUSE,
ARISES FROM THE ZIONIST MOVEMENT, AND FROM OUR PROMISES
AND PLEDGES IN REGARD TO IT"
WINSTON CHURCHIL

So true then....So true now!
Rae Abileah, national organizer with CodePink Women for Peace and a member of Jewish Voice for Peace, discusses her participation in the protest and disruption of the Israeli PM presentation in a brief interview with Scott Horton at antiwar.com. If you watched the clip from YouTube she is the last of the six well organized dissenters to speak out.
If I remember correctly she and her CodePink group were also the ones who confronted Karl Rove at his book signing debut. I applaud their involvement in both instances.
The Tea Party organised rudeness at political gatherings was supplanted with actors and outsiders dispersed among the real participants. They were paid to bring about disruption and shut down any chance of discourse and dialogue, disruption was the sole intent of their ranting and the Tea Party's attendence.
The well planned performance of descent in the Jewish Voice for Peace was intended to disrupt and bring attention not to the media but to the PM and the large crowd who came to support his views. Starving Palestinians and occupation of their people and land is NOT their Judaism and clearly said so.
This action in New Orleans by six young Jewish-American freedom-fighters marks the dawning of a new Jewish leadership, one that's beholden, not to a fascist settler-state with its racist ideology, Zionism, but to the Jewish tradition of always siding with the slave (never with the slavemaster), wedded to the American ideal of liberty and justice for all. Unburdened as they are with the dual loyalty stigma of the old guard whom they are displacing, this new leadership will be effective in educating the public as to the realities of the Mideast conflict - That it is the settler (every Jewish Israeli except for those who actively support justice in Palestine) who is the oppressor, the Palestinian, the oppressed. As the American people are thus awakened, Palestine, reborn and free is sure to follow.
