Be the One – To Reveal Sleazy Corporate Ties
Calling on always-effective star power, BP and other big oil companies are using celebrities and two seemingly well-meaning front groups, America's WETLAND Foundation and Women of the Storm, to hammer home the message that we the taxpayers - not they the polluters - should pay for the Gulf Coast debacle. Actress and New Orleans resident Sandra Bullock, who has become the face of the Restore the Gulf Campaign, has now severed her involvement with it after learning of the connections.

Show AllI couldn;t see where the taxpayers were asked to fund the clean up. ( it read like weasel words that could be intrepreted in mnay ways )
and looks like Sandra was astro-turfed
hopefully, she will be able to use her fame to publicly denounce the campaign
Yes, when people like Sandra speak out after being tricked it triggers the effect of many hundreds of political and scientific analyses. Use your fame Sandra and give 'em hell.
Sandra took the Corporate cheque. If she speaks out too loudly, and causes even a miniscule drop in Corporate profits, she could be sued.
The US is one seriously fucked-up country.

B.S. She didn't just take the check, she knew where it was coming from. She only severed connections after it was reported in the media. You think she doesn't have savy agents?
She's saving face for making money on this. She married that Orange County Choppers guy Jessie James. There all fashion popular sleazes.
Hope she enjoys the extra shopping money which I assume she needs desperately. Never trust a celebrity to do more than take money for furthering a propaganda campaign. The amazing thing, and I am proud to say it, that if there was more than one celebrity in that ad, I sure didn't recognize him/her. Thats the way with celebrities, their part in 'objection' has more to do with marketing their name or face, so don't expect sandi to be out cleaning up any beaches, might sully her name and face.
Never doubt that the conservative mainstream media will provide anything but tricky disinformation or no information, ergo a tasty actress to convince people how 'real' the message, which is already known, except for the part of bp playing the 'man behind the curtain' in the spill in the land of OZ until the curtain falls down.
Any male,female,andro of the cinematic persuasion
will do ANYTHING to make $$$$, and have "face time".
Do you care about any of them?..... to them you're a mark....their whole show is just that....a show.
Advertising, as well as other "spin" is a mugs game.
This is the only type of reply they'll understand.
