Since the NAACP had the audacity to ask Tea Partiers to renounce racists within their ranks, they've gotten a slew of death threats. They posted audio of one particularly chilling message on their blog. Again, the dilemma: Publicize it to condemn it, or ignore it and hope it goes away? Either way, scary stuff.

Show AllWhile this is sad news, I can't imagine their being a 'race war' (as in actual mass numbers of black vs. white fighting with weapons) in the United States. I know some hideous acts still happen, but we have to remember the tea party numbers aren't really that big and the number that would kill is less.
We have had a race war in this country since the first African slaves were hauled into Jamestown early in the 17th century. Hideous acts happen all the time.
Yeah which is why I included with weapons in my post.
Why do you need weapons when you can make a bomb in the kitchen of your Mom?
The kid has parents who clearly failed civics and have no clue about evolution. In other words, they represent the typical ignorant US resident who are always busy carefully teaching their kids how and who to hate and fear.

If Obama and the Dems were to actually initiate a populist economic policy, the silly Tea Party would be critically diminished.
I tire of liberal cultural warriors' obsession with the nutty right. We are not going to change the minds of hard core racists, but the left could drain a lot of support from these folks by pursuing a populist program.
All this focus on the Tea Party is a distraction from Obama's endless wars and elitist economic policies.
Couldn't be better if it was all planned out ahead of time. I mean, you can really start to things like that when you sit back and watch the show.

You can thank Fux News for inciting another nut bag. This guy believes that the NAACP "want[s] to kill white babies." (from his voice mail message). That notion had to have come from Fux News' story about how the "New Black Panther Party" (all 12 of them) wants to kill "crackers" and their babies. In his twisted mind, the NAACP and the New Black Panther Party are the same.
Just yesterday, I read that a guy in Oakland wearing a bullet-resistant vest went on a shooting rampage because he was so angry about what the lefties are doing to his country. I wonder where he gets his news from.
Good God, this is like the big Hou-Hou over Lindsey Louhans "surrender" and just about as important.

Kind of feel sorry for people like this. They are just scared, afraid to admit it, and blame their problems on everyone but themselves.
1. Question people's patriotism
2. Cast those against war as "un-patriotic"
3. Act as defenders of "traditional values"
4. Make opponents appear "lazy" with "no sense of responsibility" and harmful to national "unity"
5. Scapegoat other racial, religious and ethnic groups as the cause of the country's economic and social woes who live off the backs of hard working people.

Funny thing is, according to several ex-soldiers who were there in 1945, there wasn't a Nazi to be found. Nobody owned up to being part of the Party even when confronted with ID cards and certificates. Naturally they were all "victims".
Same thing in South Africa in 1994. With the exception of a few, almost all whites made it seem like they were forced to support apartheid against their will. They were "victims" as well.
Perhaps we will see the same thing from these teabaggers when minorites truly flex their political muscles?
Frankly I am a lot more uneasy about the volatility of the rigid dogmatists within our own borders here than I am about the threat (sic) of alleged foreign terrorists.

If there is a 'race war' it will be started by idiots like this caller recorded by the NAACP. Incited by talk radio, aided, abetted and encouraged by the Corporate meat puppets in the Tea Party and the likes of Saint Sarah, and fueled by Anheiser Busch and Joseph Coors.
The continued economic disintegration, rampant Corporate corruption, and government indifference to the common man are creating the perfect storm for violent confrontation between the disconnected Elite and the disillusioned masses.

Left cultural warriors get in tizzy about some nut leaving racist messages on NAACP voicemail, but many are still unable to acknowledge that Obama has caused the killing of thousands of innocent brown people in order to pursue these imperialist wars.
A freaking hint: Obama is not a leftist.

Would you mind elaborating? The Tea Party has condemned publicly the very few racist signs that have shown up at their events, even before anything was said by the NAACP, which only does so when it makes national news. Nothing in the Tea Party platform, which is all about fiscal responsibility and government accountability, has anything to do with race. So how exactly is that racist?
