Follow the Money
With so-called right-wing AstroTurfers more visible - if spelling-challenged - than ever, Media Matters Action Network is launching a new database to expose the links between that so-called grassroots movement and the well-organized corporations, lobbying firms, conservative groups and think tanks that in reality fund them. See ConservativeTransparency.org for a wealth of information on the money behind the movement.

Show AllAre the mis-spelling intentional? One of the usual hallmarks of sponsored demonstrations is printed signs. These people are not using them. The spelling may be screwy to keep people from suspecting, no? Is this just too paranoid?
Not that I'd claim that these folks are some kind of brain trust, but the mis-spellings have been so widespread and collected up and laughed at so thoroughly that this article barely even mentions them, it's old news. You'd think that people would be a little more careful.
theowl,
You do not seem sincere about exposing propaganda whenever it occurs because you are using it in your post. We all have to stop lying. Here are some things in your post that are simply untrue: The antiwar movement during Bush obviously had people in it who were not truly anti-war. These are the people who will not stand up to protest Obama's three wars and the death and destruction that they bring. But there were many people who were and are completely committed to opposing US wars of empire. This is not a fake anti-war movement.
"Obama care" is a propaganda piece by the administration. In fact, Obama has taken large sums of money from the health care industry and actively opposes any kind of robost public option, let alone single payer, universal health insurance. The belief that Obama care is all about single payer, universal health care is a lie that many on the right and the left believe. It is a real testament to the level of successful propaganda that both the left and the right believe the same lie.
There is nothing wrong with busing people into a protest, unless those people have been misinformed about the nature of the protest and have no actual knowledge of who is busing them in. Many of us have gotten together to protest something we believed is wrong.
When ACORN has broken the law, it should be exposed and prosecuted. When any group breaks the law, they also, including corporations and the administration (past and present), ought to be held to account. We would greatly benefit from the rule of law being upheld in this nation. Currently, it is not and we are in a dangerous situation because of that failure.
Just because the right is dead wrong, doesn't CHANGE the fact that Baroke Obama's morally, legally, intellectually and fiscally bankrupting US like the 7 Bushist presidents before him.
so can we expose it on the left too? WWP and InternationalANSWER funded that fake anti-war movement of the Bush years. Who is funding the pro-Obama care movement? I know unions bus people in. ACORN pays "volunteer" protestors. Expose it on both sides.
A relevant side question: how many of the deluded demonstrators would still turn up in they knew where the money for their stupidity came from?
It sort of begs this semi-rhetorical question: whom is scarier, the honestly deluded, the ones who know they're being hustled but go along anyway, or those orchestrating it?
WHO is scarier.
What is scary is that we know who these ass holes are, but they are still alive!
And postings as yours are the scariest thing in here.
Tell me, you wanna change the world ... by using the very
same techniques that didnt work for the last 1000 years?
You know, like going out and randomly murder people you
THINK of being this or that (in this case: people
being 'responsible' for right wing propaganda).
Wow. I am impressed.
"we don't need no education; we just need our thoughts controlled."
(apologies to Mr. Pink)
There's something else Media Matters needs to expose. There's a lot of propaganda being put out by the govt. itself. Unfortunately, it isn't only the right wing who's being misled, lied to and told what to think/feel.
I applaud this investigation. Now broaden it to include the govt. You're going to see an interlocking directorate.
Looks like a Special Ed field trip.
Maybe they can take some of that corporate money and buy a spell-checker? Or get an freakin education.

Cool. I've only really seen Maddow expose this stuff before.
