Balloon Boy Meets the Chorus of No's
With Senate Republicans joining Oklahoma's Jim "What Global Warming?" Inhofe's ingenious plan to boycott meetings on the clean energy bill, the Sierra Club's Climate Crossroads have devised, Letterman-style, the top 10 excuses for not showing up to work on this historic bill. Our favorites: 10, 5 and 1.

Show AllExcuse #15.
Someone took pictures of me with that little boy.
Excuse #14: Bible class. Today's topic: how to 'part the waters' like Moses (useful in case those athiest global warming scientists are right).
Excuse #13. Have appointment to get gang teabagged by Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity

Excuse #12:
Must deposit Exxon check today or it becomes invalid.
Laguy 83:
Actually no. Most liberals I hang with are happy and very solid peeps. So what do you mean by: "negative n joyless?" Are you talking about the right? Maybe you have a typo in your post?
It just looks like another troll.
Well then I feel sorry for you, that you take so little joy in your political activism. I revel in it, I get vitality from it. It makes me feel alive.
Good, let em boycott. The remaining members can fashion and pass the legislation.
Excuse #11:
Checking in for remedial rehab at a proctology clinic.
Where are the teabaggers screaming "DO YOUR JOBS!!!"? Oh, that's right, it was a completely right-wing astroturf partisan venture. And I doubt any of them think global warming is real.
Actually, #7 is my favorite. Mark Sanford, anyone?
And #4 is incomplete. It's mostly been Glenn Beck urging all Republicans to not let anything pass, because of the "socialist/Marxist structure hidden in all the bills that is being built." Yes, he really believes every major piece of legislation is hiding parts of a framework to turn the United States into a socialist country.
Oh, if only.
Better than soulless.
"so everything that is not in line with liberal thought is soulless?"

It's worse than soulless, it's suicidal and unsustainable. People who talk about "First strike" nuclear attacks and turning the air into a trashcan by denying 380ppm CO2 must have never had an objective science education. Didn't you ever do the bugs in a sealed bottle experiment? Don't you understand that so-called "conservative" policies and "values" guarantee a human extinction event if we don't alter course?

Anybody ever notice the right at all?...Its like slowing down as you pass a bad car wreck

Anyone ever notice how crass, crude, rude, stone-faced and shrill the right is in this country?
The planets going 10 feet underwater thanks to GOP head-in-the-sand thinking... EVERYBODY SING!!!
If Inhofe and company get their way much longer, we're all gonna need a dose of that spunky rightwing Horatio Alger optimism soon. Thats the rightwing way, isn't it? Destroy society and then complain about the complainers?
Nope.
Laugh! Ever notice how reptilian and selfish the corporatists are in this country? They don't know how to love or to tell the truth. And have you seen how they dance?
