The Rich Get Richer Etc.
In numbers that Paul Krugman has called
"truly amazing," a recently updated paper by a Berkeley economist finds
that income inequality in the U.S. is at an all-time high, surpassing
even the inequities of the Depression. Professor Emmanuel Saez found
that, during the feed-the-rich Bush years of 2002-2007, the top 1
percent of Americans enjoyed two thirds of the income growth.
