The Truth, Wingnut Variety

Pat Boone at the 1997 American Music Awards promoting his heavy metal album, "In a Metal Mood: No More Mr. Nice Guy."
Proving again that right-wingers need to get a life – or accept that times are changing – 50's crooner Pat Boone, who made black R&B classics palatable to white America, has joined the so-called birthers, demanding "in the name of decency and equality" that President Obama produce a REAL U.S. birth certificate, not his "supposed copy" of one. In a surmise-ridden rant, Boone suggests history will blame the (illegitimate) Obama for taxing the middle class "into despondency," "throttling religious speech with phony 'hate crimes' legislation," enacting "crippling and fraudulent 'global warming' laws" and other crimes that, clearly, only someone foreign-born could commit.
Alas, his fervor did not help the latest wingnut effort to buy an ad in a Honolulu paper to help document Obama's birth there, "as he claims in his autobiography." The paper became the latest to decline to touch the issue, "even for money."
"One thing for sure: This is not going away. More and more people are determined to get the truth, and will press to get it."

Show AllWhy should a Presidents birth certificate be shielded from his "con-stitch-u end see"?
What the hell kind of legal document is supposed to be accepted as a photocopy?
Obama's grandmother, now suspiciously dead, stated she was at his birth in KENYA.
The guy calls his grandmother a liar, yet we're supposed to take his word unchallenged and without the official documentation that accompanies such an event, a birth certificate.
Ridiculous.
BTW I am no right winger. I'm a guy who knows Obama has murdered masses of Pakistani's and Afghanistani's, given away trillions to gambling addict bankers and continues to preside over dictatorial powers DISmissing even HABEAS CORPUS!?
Cuhmon, what's his body count have to reach a million before we can call him a tyrant? It's probably at that, 1m, considering the continued gross mismanagement of the EPA, the FDA, the CPSC...
Get real CD.

"Why should a Presidents birth certificate be shielded from his "con-stitch-u end see"?"
- It isn't, as the certificate has been presented to the public by the notary-authorities in Honolulu.
Cf: «... the Director of the Hawaiian Department of Health who verified that the State had Obama's "original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures".»

"What the hell kind of legal document is supposed to be accepted as a photocopy?"
- One certified by a notary.
"Obama's grandmother, now suspiciously dead, ..."
- You imply Obama was an accomplice in killing his grandmother? - Don't you think that's a bit unlikely?

Obama's just another president-marionette who's good intentions and understandings are deceived, eroded and sapped away by Special Interests.
There's a lot of little conspiracies going on among the elite power-wielders, of course, as "conspire" means "breathing together" - in the sense of cooperating without announcing it. But we all do, with our friends and circles: sometimes the cooperation amounts to fraudulent behaviour, usually not.
The supposed Alex Jones-like conspiracy where everything in the world is mapped out and planned years, decades or centuries ahead by a BIG conspiracy of shady rich people - with David Rockefeller as their Grand Old Man - doesn't exist. The world is too uncertain for that - too many variables for successfully maintaining such a grand overview.
Whatever the power-elites are up to, it's not secret. Those groups depend on the same communication-channels for the collusions (developing tacit recognition of overlapping self-interests) happening as everybody else.
Such plans, connections and collusions news-corps may be deliberately trying to spam into obscurity, e.g with Michael Jackson-news, in our available media: magazines, books, newspapers, internet publication, ether-media, etc. But that clogging and cluttering hampers their own exchanges of ideas and memes, too. And all big colluding groups have - depend on - "trade-magazines" where their intentions are plainly presented. And can be seen by all who seek that knowledge. Remember: all big groups need methods of communication - media - to keep going. That leaves all necessary indications available to others, too, when facts are sought to see if, when and how such a group has overstepped the boundaries of morality or law.
Most often - though sometimes not - "Big Secrets" fit the initials BS. There are a lot of small and bigger conspiracies happening. But the alleged BIG secret conspiracy isn't, can't be, managable to hold quite as secret as claimed. They're people too (at least part of the time, even to the "reptilianists"), with all the accumulated human fallacies and distractions.
Anyone really searching for actual info of the many well-accepted cooperations termed "conspiracy", will by e.g net-searching easily find an overall understanding of which real "conspiracies" are current and not. Takes a little work over a sustained period (to learn what some tendencies actually lead to) of time, but is quite reassuring: Our Source Nature (I believe in OSN rather than GOD) overwhelms culture every time, when we establish an opposition between them.
Of course, that's still not very reassuring to the one billion living in starvation and the 30.000 of them starving to death every day - 10 million a year, 1 every 3 seconds. They're caught in the opposition to Nature caused by our dated trade-systems and trade-manners.
Alex Jones and other "conspiracy-buffs" are long on heckling, short on alternatives and practical solutions. - Or do they mean that the world's power-people shouldn't talk undisturbed at any time, plus refrain from cooperation? - The issue isn't cooperation/"conspiracy" or not, but transparency in big cooperations going on. But most collusions are quite see-through. Such is my experience.
Why does it matter so much with this birth-certificate anyway? Afraid Obama's too much of an internationalist, connected more to Earth than to the USA only? - Sure seems so.
But relax, all conspiracy-overdoers - you're probably living a fairly good life anyway, as indicated by your presence on the internet. You're yourselves part of the billion-strong elites of the Earth with internet-access, the internet-elite. Imagine how "conspiratorial" that exchange-"club" must seem to the other 6 billion.
To: «The Truth, Wingnut Variety» " But relax, all conspiracy-overdoers - you're probably living a fairly good life anyway, as indicated by your presence on the internet."
Presence on the internet has little to do with your quality or state of life. Anyone can get on the internet. Go to the poorest nations and you will see internet cafes on every block..in every area. Most libraries in this country have free access.
If you have skills and leisure time plus opportunity to log onto the internet, you're probably not one of the half of the world's population living on less than US $ 2 a day.
Excellent comment. I agree with virtually all of it, except I am not so sure about how much Obama is "connected ... to the Earth" as a whole, as he appears to be mostly connected to the multinational corporations (constituting quite a small subset of the Earth) that helped put him in office.
I'm pretty sure Obama is "connected" at the hip to bankers who need to be lynched.
If this particular bit of right wing loony tune conspiracy theory does anything, it highlights just how antiquated American birth records (which is mostly a function of the USA not having a national identity card) are. Obama's birth certificate, like those of his countrymen (including those of the nut bags like Pat Boone who harp on this), is open to chicanery as any other birth record produced in the United States. Hopefully, primitive birth records will go the way the wing nut conservatives are currently on -- a slow slide to irrelevancy as their antiquated beliefs die with them.
Pat Boone: Like Connie Francis, used to have good pop singer voice but never was very smart. Who the hell cares what they think?
I remember the names but not their tunes or faces. Just as well.
Yes.
Pat Boone doing Heavy Metal - isn't that a contradiction in terms?
Is it Heavy Metal Light? Aluminum?
Whoever let that man dress in leather should be shot.
As for O's citizenship, his mother is a yank. Doesn't matter where he's born, he's still a natural born yankee. Talk about stupid people...
If you look in most republican born-again closets, there's a good chance you'll find some leather.
Or in Bush's case, a badly concealed gay male prostitute...
Walk in peace.
Both very valid comments.....but especially the first one.
What ever happened to Pat's white sport coat, and pink Carnation?
That was Marty Robbins...
Deleted because Dante got there first.
Boone had the misfortune of competing against people with real talent. Chuck Berry: musical genius. Boone: honey-voiced, uh, creamo'wheat. Bo Diddley....
Surprised Boone didn't do the honorable thing and shoot itself.
I was a Democrat all my life, and was going to vote for Barack Obama. But after some research and observation, I saw that he is an unqualified, ineligible poseur, a tool of corporate America. After having read here for a few weeks, I've been heartened to see that many of you have figured out the same thing, albeit a little late.
Be logical about it: Why would Obama have a team of lawyers, right now, actively working to hide his birth certificate AND his Occidental school papers? Please do your homework this time, and find out what the actual facts of the matter are - dont' believe the spin. I'm sure it's quite obvious to many of you that the MSM is in the bag for Barack big time!
This guy is another puppet of the George Bush ilk, just a different color. The sooner we all wake up and smell the coffee, the sooner we can do something about it!
Speaking of documentation-
I wouldn't mind seeing W's military records. Kid from a prominent familiy trained to fly planes at taxpayer expense. How does a folder like that disappear?
How about a full accounting of the number of planes McCain crashed, or just how he managed not to wind up piloting a desk or a spatula?
The difference is that the birth certificates, as proof of eligibility, are constitutionally required. If it's no big deal, just release them.
Duh, it has been released.
And McCain was born in a military base in Panama, which was not considered U.S. territory until a law passed by Congress made it so after his birth. Hmm.
McCain's issue was completely open and resolved YEARS before he ran in this last election. They say 'where there's smoke, there's fire'. Why would so many people be investing so much time, effort, and money into this unless there was an issue with a copy of a birth certificate instead of an actual original copy. These are smart people that know EXACTLY what they are looking for.
If OB has the docs, and there really is no problem, then release them and be done with it. People normally don't go out of their way to suppress evidence that exonerates them.
I know it was resolved, I'm just pointing out that there was an issue. And Obama's has been resolved too, but conspiracy nuts like yourself just won't believe it.
'conspiracy nuts'??? Thanks for keeping it civil...
If OB had resolved it, there wouldn't be teams of lawyers 1. fighting like hell to keep from being forced to release the docs, and 2. fighting like hell to force him to release the docs.
If he has them, release them and make the whole problem go away.
Sure there would be, just to provide another avenue to discredit him. Just like the GOP controlled Congress spent millions of dollars and wasted months of Congressional sessions on getting Clinton impeached.
And uh, the article's title labels you guys as wingnuts. Get used to it.
I may be a wingnut...of couse, I also have a birth certificate
"I think, therefore I am...only if I also have a birth certificate."
NeoFauve June 30th, 2009 8:06 am.............After causing that fire on the Forrestal, he should have been put on a desk, but the Admiral, his pop, cleaned the mess up from what I have read.
When W was gov of Texas his Mommy Karen Hughes removed all records of Bush's (lack of) activity with the Air Guard, by her own admission, to be sure that nothing turned up at a later date which could "embarrass the governor." This is all well documented.
We're liberals. We're politically correct. We don't need no stinkin birth certificates.
We all know that the FBI , ATF, NSA must have missed the birth certificate issue.
Wow, along with WMD, not helping Bush/Chenney stop 9/11 and the finacial ties of the Saudi oil Shieks to the 9/11 hijackers, it has been a rough 8 years.
The truth is what we say it is.
BornFreeMen
Gang Stalking Victim, of right wing domestic terrorist community watch tortrure freak lunatics.
Driving on public roads to go to and from work and other activitys is not a privilage, it is a right. We paid for the roads, they do not belong to the state or the feds, they are ours. They are an extension of our drive ways to our homes. When we dirve on our roads the 4th amemdment of rights to privacy apply. Warrantless surviellance and gang stalking are an attack of my 4th amendment rights. These people in these groups are domestic terrorists. They are extreme, unpatriotic, and unconstitutional group of thugs who with malicious intent try to destory people and their families because of opposing life styles or political opinoins need to be jailed.
I feel duty bound to bring this quote from Saturnalia
"Whoever let that man dress in leather should be shot." once more.
I can't run for President as I was born in Canada.... I was naturalized...(not too long ago) Prior to being naturalized I was an unnatural "green card guy"...lol (for many years) Well you guys have no worries about me running for President.
Pat Boone? LOl...Ridicules...
Mummmm......you are Pat? Got any leathers?
LOL...No leathers... Good old Pat is just suffering from old age and chronic lack of attention. But there was a time when the man could sing. (My mom loved him...)
Mine too. I liked Moon River myself. Glad to hear about the lack of leathers.....
Poor ole Pat.....a long fall.
That was supposed to be OR, not are. Oops!
Wasn't this the same guy who used his remaining fortune back in 1999 to buy all kinds of 'survivalist' supplies in anticipation of the then dreaded 'Y2K' computer crash, and when the much anticipated crash did not happen, sue to get his money back - and lost?
Walk in peace.
The Pat Boone I remember would not dress like this or make such statement. He was a religeous man. This is only another ploy for the Republicans to say something nasty about the intelligeny Democratic Party. Let me assure you that Obama will bring out his birth certificate when George Bush brings out his war record. Or a book on how to be a deserter and steal the big seat in the White House. Or how brilliant the repug party leadership is.
Jarhead I go th... June 30th, 2009 9:39 am.......Hate to say it, my friend, but you lost track of Pat Boone...this is a legitimate photo.
It's amazing how many seemingly normal people listen to the right wing lunatics ranting and actually believe every word of their ignorance. I read some of them in this thread. Are you people honestly dumb enough to imagine that the mean spirited Republican's haven't already put his birth certificate through every test imaginable to prove that ridiculous theory??????? I am positive that's the first thing they did very early in the game before he ever became an candidate. They no doubt checked it in every way imaginable. So grow up and get a life!
Pat Boone looks like "Beef" in the Brian DePalma movie, "Phantom of the Paradise".
Now, I don't like Obama - for completely different reasons that the right doesn't like Obama. But, isn't this "must be native born" issue just a little bit unimportant. The democratic expressions of a people should always trump any frigging constitution.
The excuse given for the Golpe de Estado in Guatamala comes to mind. A fairly-run referendum can only enhance democracy, and if a constitution prohibits it, the constitution should be ignored.
Well, I disagree with you that rule of law should always be trumped for something that "enhances democracy", since there is far more to democracy than voting. As well, I question how fairly-run the referendum would have been, since the President of Honduras originally asked the military to distribute the ballot boxes to polling centers, then demanded the chief of the military and the equivalent to the secretary of defense resign when they refused. That does not seem democratic to me. What would you have though if Bush had asked Rumsfeld and the DoD to distribute ballot boxes and/or run the 2004 election?
Thanks!
I have to slightly disagree with you. In principal, you're right - at least in dealing with normal laws. The "native born" issue is, however, a Constitutional qualification. It was put in place for very important, timely reasons (so that a foreign ruler/leader couldn't usurp the presidency). That's not really a danger in the same way anymore as it was when this country was just a few years old, but it is still a Constitutional requirement. If we feel it is outdated and unnecessary then fine, but then the Constitution needs to be amended - we can't just "vote" on it during a presidential election. That violates the purpose of the Constitution. Granted, it's not a "big deal" in and of itself, but what happens when you've set precedence? Suddenly the whole Bill of Rights, or any other part of the Constitution could be nullified through a spur-of-the-moment popular vote - legally. Bad situation.
Granted, Bush criminally violated many parts of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, but that doesn't mean it was right, or that we should ignore the foundation of our system of government (or that he should get away with it).
I think it is outdated. It should, at least, be changed to a time limit, similar to the "lived in the country for 14 years." Perhaps at least 20 years as a citizen? But it needs to be changed properly, through an amendment to the Constitution. Regardless, it doesn't matter in Obama's case because his mother was a U.S. Citizen. He could have been born on Mars and he'd still be a U.S. citizen. There's some weird stipulation in some law somewhere that these nuts like to harp on, something about how his mom was too young and she needed to have been a citizen for 10 years, 5 of which after she turned 16 (she was 18 when she had him). That sounds like a load of bull to me, and even if it is a real law, it's not a constitutional law, and thus could be challenged in court (at most it's a supreme court ruling on the interpretation of the constitution and could still be changed).
"Between the idea
And the reality
Between the motion
And the act
Falls the shadow"
KOO-Koo. Koo-Koo. now pat, go away, again.
Ha-ha. Concur.
It would not make any difference if Obama was born out of the country. As long as his mother is a US citizen at the time of birth he is going to be a US citizen at the time of birth. That is how citizenship laws work. As long as one parent is a US citizen the child will be a US citizen.
