More Bull

A new campaign
aimed at quelling the entirely justified surge of populist anger at
Wall Street fat cats has help from a master of spin: Jim Wilkinson, a
former GOP aide to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and member of the
Bush White House Iraq Group who helped make the fact-skewered case for
deposing Saddam Hussein. As the aptly-named Director of Strategic
Communications, Wilkinson coordinated a daily misinformation campaign
on Afghanistan and Iraq; now he's part of a "city-by-city, grass roots"
effort by the securities industry to convince the public they're
the good guys.
The industry “must be perceived as part of the solution, which will allow it to better defend against populist overreaction,” says a memo.

Somebody bring these people behind bars where they belong already!
Dear Wall Street,
Please hire a PR firm ASAP to make me not hate you anymore. I need to have my opinion managed in a way that will allow you to continue pillaging resources from the rest of society.
Hurry. My torch is already ablaze.

We must be Eggs Benedict, because we're all getting slathered with Sauce Bernays.
So the super rich are not going to stop shitting on us, they are just going to start doing it with a smile.
More jobs lost, more hours for less pay for the jobs that are not lost, longer lines at food banks, disappearing retirement funds.
You PR guys may be good, but you are not that good.
Just try throwing a coin to the parents of a starved child. I dare you.
hey they are part of the solution to the problem of a well-paid, vibrant, and expanding middle class. You know that pesky egalitarian meritocracy where one follows the rules and works hard and leaves a better world and a financial legacy for one's children does need a solution, er, a final solution.
So yeah, they bring out another liar who hopes that lies will carry the day for them again. What they fail to see is that the dumbest of us is suddenly and incrementally smarter now that he has figured out that the Big Cheat is the only game in town.
Perhaps they should resurect Louis XVI and beatify him as new patron saint of blind disregard for the suffering of little people harmed by greedy kleptocrats and usurious and treasury-looting banksters. Populist overreaction? Don't worry liars Saint Louis will protect you just as long as you keep privilege and wealth concentrated in the hands of the nobles and keep the peasants toiling...
