Among the 17 senators who voted against Thursday's bill allowing the FDA to regulate tobacco are three Republicans who got the most campaign money from the tobacco industry. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky led the pack with $419,025; then came Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina, who led the opposition, and Georgia Sen. Saxby Chambliss.
