Nothing Happens Unless First a Dream

We're two weeks into our Winter Appeal, and just over half the way to our $50,000 goal.

I know you have hundreds of media choices: Newspapers and magazines. TV and radio stations. Websites and Blogs.

Many of the choices leave much to be desired.

There are a lot of good media sources out there, too. But you'd have to spend hours everyday combing though them if you wanted to know what's really happening - not just what the commerical media wants you to know.

Corporate America and wealthy conservatives are spending unprecedented amounts of money to influence the media. Fortunately, we're outsmarting them. We're publishing an increasingly diverse mix of news and opinion.

We kicked off this Winter campaign last week with a quote from Carl Sandburg: "Nothing happens unless first a dream."
