Hiroshima: The Original Ground Zero
August 4 -- Mention “ground zero” today and most Americans think of 9/11. But it really originated 60 years ago with the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. On Saturday, August 6th, Link TV will launch a 6-night series that examines the legacy of Hiroshima and how the nuclear threat impacts you. It includes Japanese, German and American films, connecting Hiroshima to a new generation and to the future of all humanity. We begin the series with "Hiroshima-Nagasaki 1945," a classic, unforgettable film that features the first footage shot following the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. For more information on the series, see description below.

“[Arming the Heavens is] a keen and balanced look at the new weapons frontier.” -- Mark Thompson, TIME Magazine
San Francisco, CA (July 25, 2005)—While very visible wars on earth command our attention, there is a conflict brewing in space, far beyond the scope of the human eye. In the rush to seize “the new high ground,” the United States is moving forward with plans to place tactical weapons in space. Is the weaponization of Space inevitable? If so, what will be the consequences? Arming the Heavens—The Push for Weapons in Space, produced by Azimuth Media for the Center for Defense Information, is a balanced look at the new weapons frontier, casting a critical eye on an incipient arms race happening far, far away. Arming the Heavens—The Push for Weapons in Space will have its world television premiere on Link TV on Monday, August 8th at 8 p.m., ET/5 p.m., PT.
