A group of business and retired military leaders is joining Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) today as she introduces the Common Sense Budget Act, which would transfer $60 billion from the Pentagon Budget to other priorities, like schools, healthcare, and humanitarian foreign aid.

Business Leaders for Sensible Priorities has purchased full page ads in newspapers in New Hampshire and Iowa, educating fiscal conservative lawmakers in those states about the Pentagon budget.

Business Leaders for Sensible Priorities (www.sensiblepriorities.org) is comprised of 650 business executives and distinguished military authorities who favor trimming wasteful spending from the Pentagon budget and investing the savings in schools, healthcare for children, and other federal priorities.
