SOMERVILLE, Mass .- September 7 - Music fans who were not able to buy a ticket to Farm Aid 2004 Presented by Silk Soymilk can now see the show live via Webcast. This year's Farm Aid concert will take place Saturday, September 18 at the White River Amphitheatre on the Muckleshoot Indian Reservation near Auburn, Wash., just outside Seattle.
Jerry Lee Lewis, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Mark Broussard, Blue Merle, Kitty Jerry, Kate Voegele, and Tegan and Sara have been added to the stellar lineup.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jerry Lee Lewis will join the other Farm Aid artists to show support for family farmers and to raise awareness about their efforts to provide healthy food for people across America. Lucinda Williams, named as "America's Best Songwriter" by Time in 2002 and a three time Grammy award winner, will be making her first appearance on the Farm Aid stage.
Beginning at 4 p.m. PT, the official Webcast of Farm Aid 2004 Presented by Silk Soymilk will be presented live on http://www.farmaid.org. The Webcast will cover the main stage events, including performances by Farm Aid Board of Directors members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, and Dave Matthews. Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp organized the first Farm Aid concert in 1985 to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on their land.
