Woden Teachout  is an historian and cultural critic interested in the development of American patriotic culture and has taught at a number of colleges and universities, including Harvard, Middlebury College and Goddard College. She is the co-author, with Susan Clark, of Slow Democracy: Rediscovering Community, Bringing Decision Making Back Home (Chelsea Green).
