UN Expert On Israel/Palestine Stands By Nazi Comparison
The next UN investigator into Israeli conduct in the occupied territories has stood by comments comparing Israeli actions in Gaza to those of the Nazis.
Speaking to the BBC, Professor Richard Falk said he believed that up to now Israel had been successful in avoiding the criticism that it was due.
Professor Falk is scheduled to take up his post for the UN Human Rights Council later in the year.
But Israel wants his mandate changed to probe Palestinian actions as well.
Professor Falk said he drew the comparison between the treatment of Palestinians with the Nazi record of collective atrocity, because of what he described as the massive Israeli punishment directed at the entire population of Gaza.
He said he understood that it was a provocative thing to say, but at the time, last summer, he had wanted to shake the American public from its torpor.
"If this kind of situation had existed for instance in the manner in which China was dealing with Tibet or the Sudanese government was dealing with Darfur, I think there would be no reluctance to make that comparison," he said.
That reluctance was, he argued, based on the particular historical sensitivity of the Jewish people, and Israel's ability to avoid having their policies held up to international law and morality.
These and other comments from Professor Falk comments are, if anything, even harsher than the current UN investigator, John Dugard, who himself has been withering about Israel's actions.
A spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that Israel wanted the UN investigator's mandate changed, so that he could look into human rights violations by the Palestinians as well as Israel.
If that were not to happen, the Israeli government may consider barring entry to the new UN investigator.

Is Israel an apartheid state?
Ethopian Jews with Torah
Israel's critics and enemies make an invidious and erroneous comparison between Israel and apartheid South Africa. Those who urge a worldwide divestment from Israel use this comparison, trying to rally the same forces that used the international divestment sanction as a significant factor in toppling the white supremacy regime in South Africa. The hope of Israel's enemies is to bring down the Jewish state. Many pro-Israel groups, including many Christian groups, have countered this effort, so far successfully.
The former South Africa was a regime in which a small minority of whites ruled over a far larger majority of blacks. The whites had complete control over the political and economic system. Blacks were denied voting rights, and any real participation in the political life of the country. There were laws prohibiting the fraternization of whites and blacks, and forbidding marriage between white and black. There was also the strict confining of blacks to specific native areas, and a general limitation on basic freedoms of all kinds.
When Israel is called a 'racist regime' like South Africa the first response is to point out that the concept of 'race' is not inherently connected with the definition of Jewish identity. There are Jews of all colors and races. And Israel is the only state in the history of mankind to have made a major effort to bring a large group of black people, (the Ethiopian Jews once called Falashas) to it in order to make them full citizens. There are no laws in Israel which even consider the subject of racial preference.
Nonetheless, those who call Israel a racist state base their accusation on an erroneous correspondence of whites in South Africa with Jews in Israel, and blacks in South Africa with Arabs in Israel. Their contention is that the same kinds of discrimination and bias that applied against blacks in South Africa, apply to Arabs in Israel. This accusation is absurd not only because of the absence of the racial component in the Israel situation but also because of the majority- minority element. The whites were a small minority in South Africa, and the Jews are the majority constituting close to eighty percent of the citizens of Israel (2003). The absurdity of the comparison is underlined further by the fact that Israel is a functioning democracy in which the Arab minority has full voting rights, and are amply represented in the Israeli parliament, the Knesset.
Israel's accusers respond to this line of argument by saying that they are not so much referring to apartheid in regard to Arabs living within the Jewish state, but rather to those living 'under occupation' in the West Bank and Gaza. These Arabs have no voting rights in Israel, and do not receive the broad social and medical benefits that Arabs within the state of Israel do.
Here however it is necessary to point out that since the Oslo Peace Process agreements in 1993 over ninety percent of West Bank and Gaza Arabs are not under the official rule of Israel. They are instead part of the Palestinian Authority and its government. The political social and economic responsibility for the Palestinian Arabs lies with the Palestinian Arab regime.
Against this critics of Israel point out that Israel actually has control over the Palestinian Arabs in that it limits not only their entrance into Israel, but their free movement between different parts of the territory controlled by the Palestinian Authority. The critics of Israel will also say that like South Africa it confines the 'oppressed population' to specific areas out of which it cannot move.
This accusation brings us to one of the major differences between the South African situation, and the Israeli one. Israel has been since its very founding involved in a continual military effort at its own self-defense. The surrounding Arab nations invaded Israel in 1948, as soon as the State of Israel was declared. The Palestinian Arab population refused a state of its own alongside Israel and have been trying to undermine the Jewish state from the first day of its founding. Israel has been subject to what is arguably one of the most despicable terror campaigns mankind has ever known. Since the start of the al-Aqsa intifada in September 2000, this has included the insane use of homicide-bombers to kill and maim as many innocent Israeli civilians as possible.
The Palestinian Arab terrorists conducting this campaign have wide support from other terrorist groups and terror states in the area. The South African regime was never subject to anything close to the kind of military threats Israel has been subject to.
Israel's limitation of Arab movements not only comes as a natural effort to prevent illegal entry into Israel, but fundamentally as part of its campaign against terror. The difficult economic and social situation of the Palestinian Arabs comes in good part because they have launched what the historian Joel Fishman calls a "people's war" -- organized, controlled and financed by Yasser Arafat's terrorist groups -- against Israel in which they are determined to destroy the Jewish state even if it means regressing socially and economically themselves. Their effort to do this cost over nine hundred Israeli lives and thousands of injuries during 2000-2003. The overwhelming majority of those injuries were of innocent civilians. In contrast, Israeli actions taken in self-defense have been confined exclusively to military targets.
The correct comparison between the South African oppressive regime should be made not only with Israel but with the Arab states and the Palestinian Authority itself. This point has been made by Ariel Natan Pasko. The Palestinian Arabs' repression of their own people, their denial of freedoms, their corruption, and the use of torture against anyone who opposes the regime, fit in well with the model of the white supremacy regime in South Africa. It is the Arab states, and the potential future state represented by the Palestinian Authority itself, that do not tolerate and have persecuted minorities among them. They are the true non-democratic human rights violators of the Middle East.

COMarc,
"Kendpotter …. you want a solution, how about this one. We keep the $5 to $10 billion (I lose track as to how much its grown these days) that the US sends to Isreal in aid every year. We need it to bailout wall st anyways."
Not that I disagree with you, though I would rather use the money to reduce the deficit. I just want to know how this will solve anything. Is it supposed to wreck their economy? At less than 4% of their GNP, that isn't likely. Is it supposed to weaken them enough so that the neighboring Arab states can conquer them? That seems rather unlikely too, since their remaining GNP will still be higher than the combined GNP of Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza. Not to mention that the Arab armies will still have huge structural deficiencies that prevent them from being effective forces.
So what is your end game? What do you want to achieve? You can figure out how to get to some place only if you know where you are and you know where you want to be. Anything else is aimless wandering (like what so many of the posts here seem to be).
And Israel is risking reaping what it has been sowing.
Comparing Israel to the Nazi Death Machine is absurd. There is no reason to malign them that way; they were decent compared to the ZionistScum.
I've often been described as as holocaust denier, I'm not I just dispute the way the people in the camps died. My brother arrived at Belsan the day after it was freed and he never saw any gas chambers nor heard any mention of them. I was stationed in Celle in 1948 and was on a fatigue party cleaning up Belsan so I had a good shufi around but I never saw evidence of any gas chambers. I must say I never specifacally looked since the gas chamber story was a not in vogue at the time, it was a story which got legs later on.
In 1956 I returned to Germany ( Hildesheim) as O.C of a signal troop and I had 2 german civilian employees who had served on the eastern front, one had a brother who was a guard at Auswitz and according to him the only gas chamber was one used to delouse bedding and clothing.
Take it from me most of the prisoners died of malnutrition and desease.
Israel was born a terrorist state and remained one ever since aided and supported by two other terrorist states UK and USA.
The only hope we have of becoming nations of any moral value is to oust every M.P, every congress and Senate member then close down the White House and Buckingham Palace and start afresh. Every israeli would be transported to some midwestern state and kept under lock and key until they learned some human values. Oh! and while we're about it lock up all the preachers.
FINALLY!
Thank you Sir for FINALLY saying what has to be said...the ISRAELI'S ARE NAZI'S...Sure..they are NOT National Socialists..or was it Social Democrats? But the TITLE hs become .."descriptive" as opposed to FACTUAL...
So..when ISRAEL creates a GHETTO, and the citizens who live in this ghetto have NO rights, and are subject to MILITARY POLICING..well..how is that any differnet than POLAND in the 40's?
Another thing that most Americans do not seem to be aware of..even though it is actually discussed relativley frequently, but most do not do the "Math"..is the little fact that "HOUSE ARREST" AS IT APPLIES TO THE PALESTINIANS MEANS THAT THEY CANNOT LEAVE THEIR HOMES..PERIOD..OR BE SHOT...OR WORSE..AND SO..UHHH..WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO A CULTURE WITH NO WAY TO KEEP FOOD COLD OR NO RUNNING WATER ETC..ETC..??? IT MEAN THAT YOU SIMPLY STARVE TO DEATH IN YOUR HOUSE...THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING PEOPLE..IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME..GO AND SEE FOR YOURSELF...WHILE YOU STILL CAN.
ANOTHER THING..IF YOU ARE AT ALL "INFLUENTIAL' GET READY TO BE..."PERSUADED" BY ODDLY AGGRESSIVE MALE AND FEMALE ISRAELI "STUDENTS" WHO WILL SORT OF SOMEHOW BE ...EVERYWHERE YOU SEEM TO BE...OBVIOUS SECURITY FORCES BULLSHIT..THEY WILL ESSENTIALLY DO A "FRIENDLY" INTERROGATION OF YOUR POSTIION ON THESE ISSUES...AND THE SAME WILL HAPPEN WHEN YOU RETURN TO THE U.S.
Folks..the REALITY of the PALESTINIAN PEOPLE is SO dire..SO grim..that it MUST be cast in the same light as those countries occupied by the NAZIS in WWII...that is the ONLY realistic ANALOGY...it just simply is..
So while the Jew's will "NEVER FORGET" they seem to have...well...FORGOTTEN some aspects of their shared experience...for they do now to the PALESTINIANS, what they had done to them by the Germans...trample a people into the dirt under your military might and treat them like trash in their own homes...occupy their land, force them into starvation, deprive them of the most basic human rights, and then if they even sqeak out a word of protest...call them "Terrorists"...
ISRAEL HAS BCOME ONE OF THE GREAT EVILS OF THE WORLD..I AM NOT AN ANTI SEMITE...NOT BY A LONG SHOT..I AM ANTI FASCIST..ANTI AUTHORITARIAN..AND ISRAEL IS THE MODEL FOR THE FASCIST THEOCRACY...ADD "CORPORATE" TO THAT AND YOU HAVE THE BUSH DOCTRINE..AND WHO DOES HE SUPPORT? ISRAEL...THEY HAVE, AS A NATION, BECOME WHAT THEY CLAIM TO DESPISE..AND I AM SORRY TO SAY, THEY HAVE LEARNED NOTHING..AND THEY CONTINUE TO BE THE GREATEST HYPOCRITES IN HISTORY...CRYING ABOUT THEIR TREATMENT AT THE HANDS OF THE NAZI'S AND THEN TURNING RIGHT AROUND AND SHOOTING WOMEN AND CHILDREN FOR TRYING TO GET FOOD...THIS IS HAPPENING...WAKE UP!
Israel's wall? did not the Nazi's do the same to keep the Jews in one place? Remember?
Though Israel has not force the Palistinians to wear a P on their clothes. The Jews Know who they are/And know exactly what any of them is doing at anytime.
No Concentration Camps you Say? Then What Is Gaza Or that huge wall being built?
And what about this Jewish Palistine Promise? It is little more the a PRISON.
Yes The Jews have had it rough, No doubt about that, but Becoming what they are will never bring peace to the Arab world.
Recall that Israel removed the jewish settlers from Gaza so they could turn it into a concentration camp more effectively.
The zionist seem to have internalized the hatred of the Christians thru their life in Europe and Russia. The rasism is there in force.
Today's Zionists are the New NAZI occupiers !!!!!!!!
Gaza today, the rest of the Middle East in 20 or 30 years...
Here's a cheery though irrelevant little tidbit...something to file under "Fun Facts to Know and Tell:"
For the $105,000,000,000.00 in direct aid we have provided to the State of Israel since 1949 we could have paid $20,507.81 for EACH and EVERY ACRE of the land the State of Israel now occupies.
Ain't that interesting?
Finally! Someone in the UN has the courage to stand up and say something.
Normally - when you have suffered at the hands of another you dedicate your life to and/or support those with the same or similar experiences. You do not discriminate against those that have endured any suffering and you do not become one who causes suffering.
Israel is not innocent. Israel has become and oppressor, which proves that once you gain power to protect yourself you must use it (everyday) in order to remain powerful. I wonder what the "Old Testament" has to say about that?
I think the Swiss figured that out a long time ago. Be neutral and hold everyone's cash...
Israel is the root cause all the trouble in the Middle East - Palestine, Iraq.
Israel is the racist, genocidal country that I would not mind seeing become non-existent. Actually I'll celebrate the occasion.
Down with the evil state of Israel.
The Israeli's had better make peace now. Over in Saudi Arabia the oil that feeds the US military machine is running out. When oil gets so expensive the US economy crashes there isn't going to be any interest at all in using the US armed forces to cover Israel's ass anymore.
On that day all the kings horses and all the kings men aren't going to prevent justice from returning to Palestine. Everybody better polish up their karma right quick.
How shocking! an expert actually caught in public committing truth.
Kendpotter .... you want a solution, how about this one.
We keep the $5 to $10 billion (I lose track as to how much its grown these days) that the US sends to Isreal in aid every year. We need it to bailout wall st anyways.
Around about 2000, the Israelis stopped using the Palestinians for labor. Now they import their own cheap immigrant labor.
Dear Peaceseeker67,
In June 2005, I made my first and last trip to Hebron, the most painful place I have ever been.
My guide was Jerry Levin, who in the 1980's had been CNN's Mid East Bureau Chief in Lebanon and a secular Jew.
Jerry was kidnapped and held hostage by the Hezbollah for nearly a year. Shortly after he experienced a mystical Christmas Eve, and escaped unharmed, he was never the same. He became a Christian and he and his wife, Dr. Sis, have devoted themselves ever since to seeking justice and peace in the Holy Land.
In 2005, Jerry was a full time volunteer with CPT/Christian Peacemaker Teams in Hebron when he told me, "Every time I get ready to return to Palestine, everyone asks me, 'Aren't you afraid?' I reply, 'Of what, the Palestinians? No way! But when it comes to the Israelis soldiers, you bet I am!'"
In 2005, Hebron contained 450 Israeli settlers/squatters/colonists and three thousand Israeli forces. The eighteen- to twenty-one-year-olds patrolled the streets with their weapons at the ready and turned us away at one of the many checkpoints. Jerry quipped, "Most of the soldiers don't like the CPTs. Whenever they won't let us through, we just go another way, and always, eventually, get where we want to go."
I was nauseated the entire day for the oppression was visceral. The narrow, winding stone streets that for centuries had been trod by Palestinians were eerily empty in many areas except for the open air market street and another where apartment buildings were on one side Israeli, and the other Palestinian. The only connection to the other side of the street was a thick deeply sagging netting strung over head. Huge rocks, shovels, electronic equipment, furniture, and all manner of debris had been flung upon it and I wondered if I would be underneath when it gave way.
Jerry told me, "It gets cleaned out about every year or so. Come back in a few months, and this netting will be much closer to your head. The settlers just throw whatever they want onto the netting; they do whatever they want and get away with it. The CPT's run interference by nonviolent resistance; we get the children and woman to where they need to be going and back again. Sometimes, the settlers curse and stone us all; it keeps it interesting."
We then walked to a desolate area and Jerry pointed out all the empty and formerly Palestinian homes that the settlers had painted graffiti and Stars of David on. It was not a nightmare, but reality when I saw spray painted on a now empty, but formerly Palestinian home:
"GAS THE ARABS."
I told Jerry Hebron was hell on earth and he replied, "You haven't seen anything, until you see Gaza."
And that was in 2005!

The AP has just reported that the Israeli Foreign Ministry said it will not allow Professor Richard Falk, the UN official appointed to investigate Israeli-Palestinian human rights to enter the country, because he stood by comments comparing Israelis to Nazis.
John Dugard, UN council from South Africa to Israel has repeatedly compared Israeli treatment of Palestinians to apartheid, the discriminatory policy of the previous white regime in South Africa toward blacks.
According to a UN report, Haaretz columnist Danny Rubinstein admitted that "Israel today was an apartheid State with four different Palestinian groups: those in Gaza, East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Israeli Palestinians, each of which had a different status...even if the wall followed strictly the line of the pre-1967 border, it would still not be justified. The two peoples needed cooperation rather than walls because they must be neighbors."
"An apartheid society is much more than just a 'settler colony'. It involves specific forms of oppression that actively strip the original inhabitants of any rights at all, whereas civilian members of the invader caste are given all kinds of sumptuous privileges."

Edwin Black has a great book called "The Transfer Agreement" that chronicles the heroic actions of the world Jewish community to boycott Nazi Germany, as well as the successful efforts of a small group of Zionists to sabotage these efforts, and more importantly the agreement they made with the Nazi regime.
That agreement was called the Transfer Agreement, and it established that Jews could emigrate to Palestine with 2000 dollars, in exchange for the emerging nation of Israel doing as much business as they could with Germany. This obviously put them at odds with the Jewish boycott, and even with other Zionists.
It is a story that they don't deny, but don't go out of their way to tell either.
canuckchuck,
"Anyone who has any intellectual honesty can see that Israels actions are those of an oppresor, a murderer, a conqueror, a monster. the only thing missing is the ovens"
Yes, and the Palestinians are the sweetest people on the face of the earth.
First, let me say, I don't like what I see happening in Gaza or the West Bank. The thing is, I see a lot of criticism being thrown around and no solutions being proffered. Is that a productive use of our time? Us all standing around, "Israel is bad." "Yes, Israel is very bad." "No, Israel is badder than bad." "Yes, Israel is badder than bad."
What is this? Some kind of mental masturbation?
Some Experts believe more than 7-million Jews died in Camps...
I am no 'expert' -- but, I think millions died during the War...needlessly. [And, ALL of them 'equally-important'.]
Many, many Jews MUST have died in Europe, then -- since there are still only slightly-less than 20-million Jews alive even-today...and that's Worldwide (with about 6-million currently living in Israel).
"We say 6 million jews were killed but we don't really know. Since nobody is allowed to investigate these things maybe it was 4 million or 2 million. Who knows, and why can't we find out the truth? There is evidence these numbers were inflated. How much?"
Who knows (and why would it really matter, Historically or Politically?).
Many (far TOO-many) Ashkenazic-Jews died in Europe...and many-others also died [and every-bit as 'needlessly'].
The Red-Cross (which had access into most Camps during the War) estimated (quietly) in 1946-7 that over 267,000 Jews died in Camps (with most dying during the Allied carpet-bombing, which also starved many German's for several-months before the Allies finally 'rolled-in' and brought the Marshall-Plan with them while liberating-millions).
What 'matters' is that: it _was_ a "Holocaust"; innocents died in large-numbers; and, it resulted in the forcible-Founding of a Modern-Israel (where minority/Sephardi-Jews are since treated little-better than the Muslims/Arabs they 'so-resemble' -- even though it actually 'is' their-"Homeland").
Sorry for the double post of BTW.
When I tried edit my post it said I couldn't do it, but then it did allow it.
BTW, when I was there I saw and photographed graffiti painted on the doors of Palestinian shops closed due to IDF closure of the Palestinian street so Settlers could use it but only Palestinian children. Many doors were spray painted with Stars of David and a couple had words. The one that comes to mind now was the one that said "Kill All Arabs". Mind you, this is in Palestinian West Bank, not Israel proper.
For those who are unaware of what the Israelis are doing in the Palestinian territories, I urge you to go to the CPT website.
CPT has had a presence in Hebron and other areas of Palestine since 1995. You can check out what they witness at the following site. http://www.cpt.org/work/palestine
You can also sign-up for updates at that site and visit the area with CPT. I did this in 2004 and had my eyes opened to what is occurring.
Following is a fairly new story I received via e-mail.
AT-TUWANI REFLECTION: Palestinian response to Israeli settler violence
By Maureen Jack
5 April 2008
On 26 March 2008 one of our shepherd friends was out with his flock below the illegal Israeli outpost of Havat Ma'on. Suddenly he was aware of bullets whizzing near him. The shots had come from the outpost. Three animals were hit, two sheep and one goat; the goat has survived but the sheep have died. The local communities are sustained by subsistence farming and so the loss of any animal is significant to a family's economic survival.
So, how did the Palestinians respond to this attack? The villagers met that evening and decided that the next day they would go out en masse to the area of the attack. We went out with them. Flock after flock appeared on the hillsides, from not just At-Tuwani but also a number of communities nearby. The Israeli army and police and a representative of the civil administration came. The first on the scene told the shepherds that the area was a closed military zone. The sheep grazed on. The police and army watched and took photographs. Eventually they left. The sheep still grazed on and the shepherds took the opportunity to gather herbs. Afterwards there was a picnic to celebrate the success of the day.
The shepherds had something to say that day, and they said it loud and clear. They said it, not with words, but with their actions. They said, 'This is our land. We stand together in solidarity. We will resist Israeli attacks nonviolently. We are not afraid. We will win.'
And what did the five of us with Christian Peacemaker Teams do? We took photographs and filmed. We took notes. We said nothing. There was nothing for us to say. The Palestinians' actions said it all.
Actually Lizard you can research the number of dead for yourself. The Germans kept records of their activities during the war, about 11 million died in the camps. What's frowned on is the attempt by twits like David Irving to deny that anyone was intentionally killed in places like Auschiwitz, etc.
That being said, damn right the Isreali gov't is emulating the actions of the former Nazi gov't of Germany, collective punnishment; check, aggressive war; check, the only thing missing is a genocide...
Israel was placed in the middle east by Europe and America for military purposes after 2nd world war when the need for oil went up exponentially.
Israel uses its military to assist american hegemony in Somalia, Eritria, Columbia, South Africa, and the middle east. Israeli soldiers uses the occupied territores, gaza, and the west bank as a training ground.
Israel needs war or they would loose their justification for a large military and perhaps hamper the flow of free money from the US.
Yes, Israel is part of the facist movement to control the world's resources and therefore, people.
Edward Said pointed out that the issue of Palestinian human rights is often shunned by many who are otherwise supportive of human rights in general.
"Abortion, homosexuality, the death penalty, even the sacrosanct military budget can be discussed with some freedom. The extermination of native Americans can be admitted, the morality of Hiroshima attacked, the national flag publicly committed to the flames. But the systematic continuity of Israel's 52-year-old oppression and maltreatment of the Palestinians is virtually unmentionable, a narrative that has no permission to appear." ("The Last Taboo," New Left Review, Nov/Dec., 2000).
Israel places its military bases in the vicinity of arab populations. Any civilian deaths that occured are due to this. This is why most of the civilain deaths were of Israeli arabs.
We say 6 million jews were killed but we don't really know. Since nobody is allowed to investigate these things maybe it was 4 million or 2 million. Who knows, and why can't we find out the truth? There is evidence these numbers were inflated. How much?
Yes, we all know how miserable the policies of the Amerikans and Israelis can be against the helpless. Tomorrow, 9 April: The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations will hold a hearing, featuring Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, on the President's FY2009 budget request, including $2.55 billion in military aid for Israel. Call the Senate Appropriations Committee today at 202-224-7363 and let them know that you oppose the President's FY2009 budget request for $2.55 billion in military aid for Israel. Demand that the Appropriations Committee sanction Israel and cut off military aid to it for its continuing violations of the U.S. Arms Export Control and Foreign Assistance Acts. And boycott Israeli products!
Israel is the "mini-me" of the obscene US war machine, a testing ground for future control efforts that will be learned and applied elsewhere to uppity brown people
So sad that Israel has become what it was created to avoid ever happening again.
Remember the USS Liberty!!!!
Israeli hawks are responsible for violence well beyond the borders of Israel or Palestine.
Pro-Zionist neocons Perle, Wolfowitz, Feith and others played key roles in bringing about the Iraq invasion with one million dead Iraqis to date. The larger Israeli agenda includes Syria and Iran. American taxpayers pick up the tab and our soldiers do the dying.
The Zionist "Manchurian candidate" of choice is insane McCain with Hillary in second place. Note that mainstream media has been making a very big deal about Obama's social gospel pastor but no mention of the fundamentalist Christian/Zionist nut job, John Hagee who supports McCain along with Joe (Iraq War Resolution) Lieberman.

And why are these sacred topics off limits in our media democracy ?
U.S. Brigadier General James J. David (Ret.), in an article entitled "A Passionate Attachment to Israel", wrote:
" Is there any criminal act that Israel can do without being protected from criticism from the United States? If there is I haven't seen it. And I haven't seen it from the Bush Administration or from the Clinton Administration or from any administration before them. But when you consider the influence of Israel's lobby and its political action committees and the more than $41 million they've given to Congress and the White House, is it any wonder Israel is shielded from any shame?
For more than 54 years the Israelis have committed acts that no other nation would dare get away with. But even here in America, where it is not yet illegal to publicly ask the wrong questions, any public figure that does so is subjected to smears, intimidation, and the attempted destruction of his career and reputation by Jewish organizations and by the very cooperative news media."
kelmer:
Good point. The Israeli and Apartheid-Era SA governments cooperated on nuclear weapons and jointly tested one off the SA caost.
Also, the SA govt helped set up Israels network of checkpoints, ID cards, etc. based on SA "Pass Laws" and population-control techniques developed over many decades.
This was all done with the cooperation/denial of multiple US governments, the US military and the CIA.
Re; mealsotoo
Are you saying that the holocaust is not the exclusive property of Jews and that other peoples were also killed? If so thank you. Having lost relatives (non Jewish) in the holocaust it always rankels when all one hears about is the 6.5 miilion Jews. What were the rest, chopped liver! Ah! they say it is the proportion of Jews killed that matters. Right, that 50% of European Jews were killed is criminal. Yet 95% of european Gypsies diappered in the same event.Unfortunately the history of 60 years ago has been used to promote the agenda of a select group rather than used as a warning regarding the potential of mans inhumanity to ALL peoples. Hence genocide continues.
God forbid, there should ever be any criticism of Israel. The comparison is highly accurate, in my book.
Don't imply 'I' am a "Holocaust Denier"...
I am NOT (and that would be 'illegal').
There certainly WAS a Holocaust in/during/planned-for WW-II. It destroyed a LOT of innocent-Jews (and, even-more Slav's). And, it certainly WAS a "burnt-offering" and/or "Sacrifice"...so, it is very 'appropriately-named'.
[And, since it 'resulted' (and almost-directly) in an Ashkenazic/Ersatz-Israel, very-few there "deny it", either...[and, fewer-still in the "US Congress"!]
Or, did you perhaps mean Israel's Congress (also, not 'Deniers') -- the Knesset? [And, Who was it who wrote the personal-cheque for building-that...I forgot?]
Why is it that so many of those who deny the Holocaust live in Israel or the U.S. Congress?
That's just/plain 'silly' -- there IS no "comparison"...
The Nazis (overall) tended to REDUCE the numbers of Jews/'undesirables' under their "tender-Mercies" -- whereas the Zionists (considering sub-human Palestinians an 'asset' for all&future Cooley-labor) 'grew' their Palestinian-population from only 720,000-or-so (when they stole their 'homeland'), to a soon-profitable near-7-million, today.
[Once walled-in and completely-subjugated, most Palestinians can expect to become Israel's future 'Chinese prison-labor' -- allowed to pass in-and-out of their confinement re: a bunch of nice/new-factories/refineries planned for their 'benefit']
Usually when a country bars the UN from entering and investigating, we attack them.
'Ovens, we don't need no stinkin ovens'. We'll do it in broad day light while the whole world watches. Then we'll blame the victims. Round up the usual suspects.
Gaza is becoming the oven.
Anyone who has any intellectual honesty can see that Israels actions are those of an oppresor, a murderer, a conqueror, a monster.
the only thing missing is the ovens
The Israel Foreign Ministry's stance here reminds me of their accusations after their most recent incursion into Lebanon, and their subsequent bombing of the entire country. About a month after the cease fire, Israel claimed that Hamas had fired rockets at a civilian residence. Israel claimed that they did not release this information earlier because of "security concerns." In other words, there were Israeli troops near this residence.
Claiming that one instance of Hamas choosing targets near civilian residences justifies Israel's prior actions to institute the bombing of a entire country is not rational. Likewise, in this case, claiming that the Palestinians are guilty of human rights violations against a heavily militarized and nuclear armed occupying power certainly does not justify 41 years of hostilities aimed at securing Palestine's arable land and water supply for Israel's lebensraum.
How will God judge their actions?
AIPAC and the End-Timers will make this guy resign. Truly Nazi like tactics that the UN backs down to always.
"Free Palestine Now"
The Isreali LEADERS have become thier tormentors.....
how ironic is that.....
The focus should be on Israel's support of racist South Africa.
Very little coverage of this. Had no idea Reverend Wright was thinking of this in his sermons.
It would help undermine Israel's sad claim of being moral.
