The "doctors" involved in this, and those involved in torture, should be disbarred and force-feed the hypocratic oath..rectally

Very Bizzare. Sounds a lot like Nazism. War crime trial's should be their reward.

I read elsewhere that they reinsert the tubes for each feeding. That's torture. I also saw on SiCKO a military care professional "bragging" about the care they give the detainees, saying "we give frequent colonoscopies". As a nurse, I know this would be a painful procedure without sedation, and is certainly medically unnecessary for young males. Where do they find these doctors?

They shouldn't be force-fed. If they want to die, let them - it is their own choice, and on their own heads be it.

I think the whole key is that they are "military" doctors. Military first, doctors second. You know, just "following orders" like good Germans. After all, in their eyes, the Gitmo prisoners are less than human, therefore it becomes easy for these fine officers to commit atrocities upon them. Remember these are also the 'troops' we are harangued to 'support.'

They're just 'doing their job' after all. For you and me. Right?

First of all, the force feeding is done in a way to make it torture.

Second, the reason for force feeding is part of the imprisonment and control -- to die is a form of escaping, especially if it by the volition of the prisoner.

In the death camps, prisoners would sometimes try to run to the electric fences. The gaurds had orders to shoot them before they could reach the fence and die from electrocution -- otherwise, it was almost like an escape.

I wonder if the geniuses in the White House and the Pentagon have come up with a name for this too- like "OPERATION BOWEL LIBERATION"?

And yes, we are creating a military and citizenry that answers the question: "How could the Germans have allowed that!"

Yes, it's been documented that they re-insert with each feeding, thereby making it more painful and increasing danger of damage, bleeding, etc.

It's absolutely shameful.

Along with the rest of what Bush/Cheney have sanctioned, it makes us no better than anyone else, Saddam,or whomever.

Military docs are typically NOT the best of their field, though there are exceptions (like my last doc, when I was a Marine).
When will this nightmare called "Gitmo" end? Why are our representatives so impotent against Bush & Co's destruction of our cherished ideals of Freedom and Democracy?
Everybody- EVERYBODY- knows holding the suspects without fair trial is unacceptable- I haven't met anyone yet whom actually agrees with the Bush administration's sick agenda.

Doctors are highly skilled at torture if they are morally inclined. The fact that the military only promotes yes men under Bush the inferior's regime (and how many others) assures that there will be an ample supply of Nazi type doctors unless there is a purge after these evil bastards leave.

Forced feeding is a violation of the Geneva Convention. Not that these Doctors Mengala care a whit for international laws and war crimes...will there be a Wisenthal to hunt down these bastards?

Shame on all the doctors who participate in forced feedings.These detainees are exercising the only control they have left. They have been told they will never be free again and it is one torture after another. Does no one have the balls to stand up to this administration. Let the soldiers who guard them protest and refuse to carry out orders. Are all the Marines souls dead? Where are a few good men? What is a court martial compared to the loss of you soul. When will we treat them as humans? Oh after they die we may ship their bodies home. Give them a fair trial and then give them some surcease from torture.

Waterboarding, tied and hung in agony.
Electric shocks, insults, threats it will get worse.

Ignorance is resistance, in the interrogator's mind.
No law, no rights, no answer to their questions.

Even if found not guilty.

Your Holy Books are spat upon,
Chewed by dogs and worse.
Your name has been exchanged
For a number and a curse.

Death is not worth many things,

To be a target for their rage.

Three have escaped and flown to Heaven

Some ex-military docs in my town, I heard threw the grape vine, have parties where they give "field surgeries" to people at the party. I don't know what they do, but some fool at least has to ask for it first. Military docs are (can be) some sic F*ckers!

So this post of your's referenced above is not FUD because you have hearsay testimony that you "heard threw the grape vine." Shame on you for interjecting more FUD into the threads. Later on you bash doctors in the military by stating, "Military docs are (can be) some sic F*ckers!" Beside spreading FUD what is your purpose here?

Name these "sic(SIC) F*ckers" otherwise retract your FUD and lies and stop making wild assertions!

So I piss you off? Good! It's a free world! If I knew them, I'd give you the case number too! I will bash western doctors as well, anytime, dentists, especially general practitioners who should have retired or gone back to school. The ethical standards are far to low in this country and good health care is out of reach for most. Do your part STFU!

However, anyone who takes an oath "to do no harm" should be prosecuted and lose their license to practice medicine.
