Call Out The Instigator
Call out the Instigator Because there's something in the air We got to get together sooner or later Because the revolution's here You know it's right! -Thunderclap Newman
I'm not backing off. I tried to remove myself from the political realm of the US, what BushCo is turning into an Evil Empire, but the blatant audacity of George commuting Scooter's sentence (he's not ruling out a full pardon ---and you know he will) has dragged me kicking and screaming back in. I can't sit back and let this BushCo drag our country further down into the murky quagmire of Fascism and violence, taking the rest of the world with them!
I have sat quietly back these past five weeks as the slaughter in Iraq sorrowfully surges along with George's bloody escalation---and as the philosophical opposition to the war has soared to almost four out of every five Americans. I have remained silent when Senator Barack Obama said that impeachment is only reserved for "grave, grave" breeches! Well, BushCo has created hundreds of thousands of graves dug by their lies and greed. For cripes' sake, George admitted to breaking the FISA Act (which is a felony) that also breeched the 4th Amendment to our Constitution that already prohibited illegal search and seizure. How was Bill Clinton's offense graver than George's, Dick's, or Scooter's? Did we ever think that the criminality and arrogance of the Nixon White House would be eclipsed in our time with nary a "baaaah" from the Sheeple in Congress?
George has said that America doesn't "do torture" when we have all seen the images of torture from Abu Ghraib (don't believe your lyin' eyes) and know that hundreds of people sold to the US Army for an immoral bounty are incarcerated within the inhumane confines of Guantanamo Prison which is right in our own back yard.
I have had to bite my tongue -- HARD -- as the George and Dick crime cabal, (formerly known has the executive branch) have claimed that their offices are not to be held up to the same standards of accountability and control as any other entity in the human race, governmental or private.
It has been recently reported that Nancy Pelosi said that impeachment is not "worth it." Her faulty reasoning is that impeachment would take too much time because they don't have the votes. If they could "whip" their own Democratic caucus into shape to defend and protect our Constitution and the people of Iraq and our soldiers as they whupped, cajoled, threatened and browbeat the caucus into attaching "non-binding" time lines onto the last war funding bill, then impeachment would not only be possible, but likely.
The recent commutation of I. Scooter Libby's sentence, however, was the straw that broke my camel's back of exhausted ennui. Patrick Fitzgerald is a thoughtful and thorough prosecutor who did a heroic job of bringing at least one of the Bush Crime Mob to justice. Even though we were all very pleased, we knew that it was not enough and that Mr. Fitzgerald would delve deeper into the feces infested executive branch. The lawlessness of the Bush Administration has reached wild west proportions and the inmates definitely have control of the US(A)sylum.
A very dear friend of mine, Rev. Lennox Yearwood of the Hip Hop Caucus, is being harassed by the Air Force for "Conduct Unbecoming an Officer and a Gentleman" because "The Rev" fulfills his duty as an Officer and a Gentleman honorably by protesting Iraq and the Fascist Bush Regime almost constantly. The Rev is still in Individual Ready Reserve so the Air Force believes it is within its parameters to pursue the charges, although every "Officer and Gentleman(woman)" should be protesting the atrocious mistakes in the Middle East. After The Rev's hearing on July 12th, (in Macon, GA) he is going to begin a "symbolic" walk from the Reverend Martin Luther King's grave (Atlanta, GA) to DC -- I am going to be there for him and to begin the march, but I am not going to make it symbolic.
We are going to walk from Atlanta, GA to Congress beginning July 13th and ending up in DC on July 23rd to send the mis-leaders back home to face the music of justice in their own districts.
It is about time us "peasants" (in the eyes of the Fascist Ruling Elite) march on DC with our "pitchforks" of righteous anger and our "torches" of truth to demand the ouster of BushCo. I have a dream of the detention centers that George has built and filled being instead filled with Orange Clad neo-cons and neo-connettes.
If Congress won't dig BushCo's political grave, it is the People's job to do so. Thomas Jefferson said that we need a Revolution every 20 years, or so, to keep our Republic honest. Over 225 years have passed since our last Revolution (if you don't count the War Between the States) and we are long overdue for one. Turn off your TVs, kiss your pets goodbye, bring the kids and flock to the federal seat of corruption, or join us on our walk there, for a People's Accountability Movement to be in the face of the Criminal BushCo and the Complicit Congress for the last week of session before they go on their undeserved vacations (why do they get vacations when the Iraqi parliamentarians don't?)
On the eve of our first revolution: You know it's right!
Author's note: Please, I already see "Attention Whore Back." If anyone thinks that I am going to walk hundreds of miles in the Deep South during July for attention, then please join us! We will be publishing our route and plans for Accountability events along the way, within the next few days. Stay tuned.

Show AllThe 'Bush Crime Mob' - yes Cindy, that was the term I was looking for. Thank you.
How soiled do Bushist "breeches" have to be before they and the SOURCES of their adulteration are changed? YANK FREE from BushCo-dependence. IMPEACH ALL so UNCONSTITUTIONALLY sullied, NOW. (And Cindy, thanks for heeding the call.)
Way to go, Cindy Sheehan! We love you!
Cindy:
I had sunk into quite a state of depression since reading the news about Libby getting his "Get Out of Jail Free" card yesterday.
After reading your article I now have a little hope for the future. You are a TRUE American hero, Cindy.
Let those of us who might not be able to join you know where we can contribute funds for pizza or lodging along the way? How about a national "blue flu" sick-out day on Friday, July 13th to show our support if we can't make the trek? Shutting down business for one day might make the media take notice!
Hallelujah ! So glad Cindy is back !
¿Are we there yet?
Impeach Bush and Cheney NOW!!!!

Yay!
Cindy is back, rested and rearmed with that feisty resolve! We knew that you couldn't sit back for much longer!
Welcome back, Cindy! I'm so thrilled to hear your voice again.
I'd like to also invite you to our rally for Presidential Candidate Ron Paul in Mountain View, Ca. on July 14th. Many in our organizing group had wanted to invite you, but didn't because we thought you had thrown in the towel. Please join us!

If you can't explain to your children what's happening in this country, join Cindy and Michael (Moore) and PROTEST FOR JUSTICE NOW!!!
Cindy --
Why haven't you spoken again of war tax resistance, as you did at the VFP convention two years ago?
Something to stop the Cheney cabal in its tracks, and wake up the Vichy Dems, who only wait for time to pass, and the Empire to continue under their better management.
The MLK connection, yes, is crucial. But this is exactly what Martin would be calling for now, in the tradition of his and Gandhi's experiments with nonviolent citizen action.
In our time, civil disobedience is not just wild radical gesticulations of frustration with fascist rulers. It is the most likely demonstration of CITIZEN POWER that we can give: the power to withhold our cooperation from their wars and domestic crimes.
If not tax refusal (and re-direct the money to helping those Iraqi refugee families, whose daughters are being forced into prostitution) then some other tactic/project should be discussed and chosen to demonstrate and gather around our power together.
But -- mention tax refusal, or anything outside their comfort zone, and watch most of the rest of our peace community hem and haw and backtrack and sidestep actually taking on the task of getting us effectively on the road to peace. Martin was not about staying within people's comfort zones, was he? More than eloquent rhetoric and great speeches, is why we remember him.
But I offer dealing with our monetary complicity as the most likely avenue back to the citizen power which gave us our Republic. Follow the money, find our Freedom.
Yours,
Henry

Wow...so glad you are back to fight the good fight. Too bad the Democrats in Congress can't get a clue as to what to do. Cindy is absolutely right. It is up to us. It's up to us to keep going after Congress to get them to impeach these law-breakers and hold them accountable.
If not, then it is up to us to elect candidates who will do their jobs, that being to follow the mandate of the people they serve.
As someone pointed out in another article discussion on CommonDreams, the Democrats have so much ammunition, yet they are afraid to take a shot at anything.
The American people are expecting more than just the fighting words we keep hearing from the Democrats. We want more than just hearings. We are waiting for true, meaningful action against this lawless regime of individuals running our government.
If action isn't taken soon, we will all be sorry. There's still plenty of time left on this regime's clock for them to do more harm to our country and our system of government. It's time for us, if no one in Congress has the guts to do it, to stop their clock. Tick. Tock.
I'm comforted knowing you have activated yourself again. Lord knows this country needs a strong mom to undo the wrongs that the fathers of this country have made.

Let's not put everything on Cindy's shoulders. We need to join her in the march. Imagine millions of people descending on Congress...
Cindy,
We are so glad you are back! Indeed this should be "the last straw" for everyone!!!
Have you written YOUR congressperson yet???
You can never effect permanent changes without returning the control of our monetary system back to the US Treasury. Eliminate the US Federal Reserve Bank and you eliminate our elected officials ability to fund "pre-emptive" warfare.
GOVERNMENT IS ONLY AS HONEST AS ITS MONEY ...
Send something to the "Republicrats" in that foreign coutry called Washington DC. We must get the message through . . .
Just send something to Pelosi . . . Even if you only write "Please Do Something" . . . . .
If the revolution does come....I do hope enough of us get up off our butts and risk what must be risked. First, I will have to visit some of my Republican neighbors and get outfitted.
Not exactly, but I just sent Pelosi this:
Speaker Pelosi,
So just what will it take to put impeachment
back on the table? Do Cheney and Bush have
to put a gun to your head to finally think
about impeaching them? Have they already
done that and that is why you are just
sitting there? Do they have to pull the
trigger?
The executive branch is replete with a tag
team of individuals trying to outdo each
other in how much further they can drag our
nation down into the muck (or draw our
attention away from the last outrage - it's
harder to hit a constantly moving target.)
The commutation of Libby's sentence probably
cannot be considered a constitutionally
impeachable offense, though some might argue
coverup of treason, etc, could apply. But
it is just another in the long list of
offences, many of which ARE impeachable, that
have been inflicted upon us.
Put a stake in the ground and say no more.
Start with the impeachment of Cheney and get
moving on the impeachment of Bush. It should
be obvious they have no qualms about wreaking
more damage on our country.
You're not going to accomplish anything else
apparently, so this is not wasting time. It
is probably the most important thing this
Congress can do. Letting these criminals go
by allowing their terms to expire with no
action by the People's House just deepens
the stain on America. Nothing, NOTHING is
more important than taking back our country
from this cabal and sending a message we the
people will not stand for it.
I voted all Democratic in the last election,
but will not again if you and the rest of
the cowardly Democrats do not do your duty.
Put your political weight behind HR 333 and
show the country we can be lifted out of this
horror.
Good news. I remember the resignation of Sheehan and the selling off of her land. I felt cynical and disappointed. I'm pleased to see it appears Sheehan just needed a brief cessation to gather her strength.
Good time to put wind to the sails.
Thanks Cindy.
I will join you in DC, and will talk my friends and allies into it also.
I have been wanting a revolution. It's the only way to take our country back.
Way to go! And thanks for quoting one of my favorite songs from the old days - I didn't think anyone else even remembered that one. :)
Yes, wait for Cindy Sheehan to lead the way - not one spineless American could take up her cause during her absence. And, while poor Cindy is taking all the beating, both physical and verbal, all of you sit here or in front of the telly, giving your commentaries.... It's no wonder the poor lady had to throw in the towel. It's good to see her back, but if the majority is composed of cheerleaders, nothing will change...
Shame on you all, just full of hot air - and, perhaps, that ridiculous Paris Hilton....
Hah! Cindy Sheehan, tanned, rested, and ready! Go, Cindy, go!
Glad you have rested and are back in the fray.
Good people cannot long rest when faced with the criminal behavior of a government.
Watch your back -- the lice at the head of our government will think nothing of arranging an accident for dissenters.
Cindy is back!
...and you know that it's right, and you know that it's right, we have got to get it together, we have got to get it together now!
Glad you are back, and hey, we have your back.
Good to hear you, Cindy. I'd say "Welcome back" but you were never really far away.
This Attack On America has gone too far for our Congresspeople to continue to pretend there is a valid governing process still in place. THAT IS A BIG LIE.
Calling on the PEOPLE to stand up and lead the way is the ONLY viable way left to us.
We must use every tool at our disposal to send a message to this Congress, and to the hijackers of our nation. Here is one. Tell them: "End this War!" and "Impeachment Now!" by voting with your FEET and with your REGISTRATION. Make the move now to the Green Party, and send a message they cannot ignore. See switch2green.org for details and reasons. Switch to send an immediate and loud message for peace, for a re-birth of democracy, and to put them on notice: we are watching, and we will not let you play these games any longer.
We send real men and women to die (and kill) every single day — supposedly to defend this nation against…well, whatever they tell us. We pay them with our tax dollars and other dollars stolen illegally and surreptitiously from our Budget. Is it too much to ask those in Congress to stand up, risking THEIR lives and careers if necessary, to defend the US from the DOMESTIC Enemies that are using every device to bring our nation down??
Pretending they don't see it is just another LIE!! Pretending that this Administration is working within the law does not stop it from being a LIE and makes this Congress complicit.
Let's join with Cindy and others to find a common ground, language, and actions to show that we are finished with business as usual and ready to defend ourselves.
Glad you're back, Cindy! Giving up is what they want you to do. Give'em hell!
Bill Holder:
"And thanks for quoting one of my favorite songs from the old days - I didn't think anyone else even remembered that one."
~course we do! :) -he's a Brit, (-used to know him in London, a real fat guy, hence the name, 'Thunderclap'!) :) The song was banned in South Africa by the white warthogs in power @ the time, they said it was 'too revolutionary.'

And yes, ~ glad to see you with your fire back up again Cindy. The therapist in me might advise you take a more 'measured' approach this time round. If we burn out we become inoperable, so **Take CARE of yourself** (-please nicely) - there may be some guilt in the background? (re Casey) if so, check it through with those that can help, and sort it gently, -without it hurting you...

Re your walk, and activism:
There's a guy I know over here in the UK. He was once a totally unknown, penniless Jain monk in the back end of India, but he felt really REALLY strongly about the build-up of insane Atomic weapons in the wider world.
~ So what to do?
He decided he would walk. ~ Simply WALK, -from India, to Moscow, then Paris, then London, then on to the USA.
He decided NOT to take any money, he would trust in faith / fate / the gods to provide needed food and shelter.
He finally succeeded in his mission, to ensure his message to 'cool it' was personally received by the leaders of each of those four nations, and he ended up with a HUGE amount of international public interest and great support for his mission, -prior to then settling down in the UK and devoting his time to opening a small 'alternative' school, and starting up a successful ecological magazine.
His name is Satish Kumar (see following link) ::: http://www.resurgence.org/satish/index.htm
Satish showed us just what can be done with NOTHING, ~except for the will to succeed, and a little self-sacrifice...
Inspiring?
I think so!

Oh, and Cindy, seeing as you have been listening to a lot of good lyrics, I hope you've got Phil Ochs on your iPod, ready for the march? ~ If not, you'll love his revolutionary songs!
Here's the Wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Ochs which has a full list of his albums. I'd especially recommend:
1. All the News That's Fit to Sing
2. I Ain't Marching Anymore
3. Pleasures of the Harbor
4. Tape from California
and,
5. Rehearsals for Retirement
- Enjoy darlin' !
xx
PS:
~ there's also a link between Satish and your own Dennis Kucinich,
See this page:

Welcome back, Cindy!! Your rallying cry, brought a tear to my eye!!
Thanks and Portland is with you!!
Styve
The Sheehanator is back! woo hoo! glad to have you back in the fight girl!
Seattle is with you too!
Cindy,
We love you all because you are the only honest peace activist with legitimacy and also with sufficient knowledge and expertise in dealing with the devil. If you go away hope will go away. Stay on and carry on the fight to its final victory. People will be with you. Welcome back and don't let the bastards discourage you again. Your resurgence is the most disheartening defeat for the AIPAC girl. She is already trembling. Thank you Cindy
Just move at your own pace, Cindy, and don't let the critics grind you down.
Thanks for using that great Thunder Clap Newman lyric. Chris Chandler has a great use of that song on his
"American Storyteller Vol I&II" CD set. It's titled "Something in the Air/ But It's Not on the Radio" You can get a taste of it at www.cdbaby.com/cd/cchandler3 Wish it had the whole thing for all to hear...'cause it ain't on the radio.
CINDY !!!!!
But "what happens" if W and "da Terminator" get that fake gay marriage in the White House that W's momma is ready to pay for saying price is no object and Pat Robertson comes in as the "lovely flower girl," what "can we do then." Hell, aren't "we all just scared to death of it?" No-- But "da Terminator" dawg "will get ya'll and me too." Don't you "think"?
Un-common dreams, you made a damn good point about that fellow who walked the walk for a peaceful world and is doing all those good things in the UK.
A song that expresses it best:

I wonder if we could get a bicycle brigade to go up the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Skyline Drive, and to Washington for this?
Hooray for you, Cindy. I've met you and know your heart is just too big to stay indoors when humanity is on the edge of disaster!
I think, however, that you are misguided in thinking that a class-free people's movement will be the solution. It will be, at most, an adjunct to the solution, and more likely a distraction from it. The only just and uniformly affluent world possible is a socialist one, with its economy united under the democratic leadership of the toilers. To think that you can qualatatively change imperialist America through ballot box, street actions, and letters to congrressmen is a dangerous illusion. Just as we see the limited gains of the 60's and 70's (and even older!) being washed away by the current, particularly venal Republican/Democrat syndicate, you can bet that any single-issue reforms we manage to make (e.g., ending the Iraqi occupation) in the current growing wave of discontent will later be reversed. The economic system is the problem, and we need to study the successes and failures of our predecessors, and stand upon their shoulders if we are to succeed. The Soviet Revolution of 1917, however disastrously it has ended, is our singular example of the theoretically mandatory workers' revolution, and it is through study of that monumental accomplishment that you will find the way forward.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting for a website for support of the March.
I'd love to meet them as they pull into DC!!
Pitchforks, baby....
Thank you, Cindy - thank you thank you thank you . . . . from the bottom of my heart . . . . another mom for peace . . .
Interesting! Cindy's return announcement has been drawing comment here for 6 hours, now, yet Googling her name brings up not a single news mention of it. Even though this is a weekday development.
Impeachment is actually PROGRESSING against a very severe blackout effort by the misfit mainstream media. It is gaining ground, nevertheless, with some stalwart Congressional representatives finally starting to sign on to Kucinich's Bill of Impeachment. And I understand it has very recently been taken up by the necessary Committee for evaluation (Ways & Means?). But the point is, it IS moving along, and gaining momentum.
Now, if a real bunch of us will get out there and start physically making this MARCH . . . we just have to keep throwing it in their faces until some critical momentum is reached. It cannot be very far off.
LET'S DO IT!!!
"Let's not put everything on Cindy's shoulders. We need to join her in the march. Imagine millions of people descending on Congress"… ezyflyer

Please, Cindy, block out time in your schedule for R&R and family.
If you just worked weekends when the administration releases the bad news to hide it and Bu$h the inferior's vacations you will be too exhausted to continue.
Attention Whore! No, just what the Dummies would call a Drama Queen.
