I am growing tired of the constant use of the term, "won the war" and "lost the war" being referenced to the UK and US. We have lost nothing except honor, dignity and respect in the world community. This was lost by our own arrogance. The amount of lives lost by both UK & US military and civil contractors in Iraq pales in comparison to the loss experienced daily by the Iraqi people themselves. Whether Kurdish, Sunni, Shi'ite, Christian or Jewish, Iraqi's are the people who are losing in this war. Jordan, Syria, and Iran are also losing in this war since they are absorbing a large number of uncounted refugees from Iraq fleeing by the thousands, daily violence and chaos. Yet US & UK leaders insist that chaos would ensue if they withdrew. It is already there.

War only occurs when humanity loses to barbarism. War is a loss. It is a loss of communication, respect, honor, dignity and a loss of viewing the so called enemy as human. Until we can agree on this point, war will continue to be used as a false solution to disagreements and grievances between men.

Methinks General Rose speaks like an Englishman who learned from the painful history of Great Britain in the territory which became Iraq when they occupied it in the '20's and '30's. When they left, everythingb quieted down, and if we'd leave, the same thing would happen again. Only it would sit much better not only with the Iraq's but with the rest of the world if we would entrust the U. N. with some funds for reparation of the messes we have made and left!

The U.S. and "coalition of the willing" forces did win the war in spite of the unlawful and immoral premiss of going to war in the first place. They removed a tyrant and helped the Iraqis establish representative government through free elections. Those soldiers can be proud. It is the occupation that reveals the evil of the tyrant George W. Bush. It is he who has caused the destruction of human rights in Iraq and in our own country. Our departure from theater is nearly four years and hundreds of thousands lives too late. Even an admission of "loss" in these combat missions is too feeble and meaningless, vis a vis the soldiers and marines who had been to deluded, even now, into thinking they are bringing retribution to those responsible for 9/11.

Bush, Cheney, Tenet, Rumsfield, and possibly Blair, should be idicted by the International Court for torture and crimes against humanity as a matter of principle. Just because we claim not to recognize the courts authority should be no barrior.

Yes I agree with General Rose. The U.S. and the U.K. have left enough of a mark on this area, the cradle of civilization, to last for many generations. History will judge us dearly for this misadventure.

The sooner we get out with all of our men, equipment and bases, the better. These people will, eventually, have to sort out the political and economic mess we have made of their lives, their economy and their country. Of course, we must pay them reparations for the damage we have done, not that that will make up for the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis we have killed with our arrogant quest for control of this area and its resources, but it may assist them in reconstructing their country.

I believe that it will take a new guard in the U.S. to accomplish this for the current neo-conservative administration is so near-sighted and self-absorbed that it cannot grasp the damage it has done to these people and their country, let alone to our own reputation throughout the world.

Finally an anglo voice of reason, how long I have waited for this. I hope he starts a snowball effect throughout the anglosphere of warmongers and WAKEs people up. This illegal invasion must come to an end and hopefully the human race will bring the perpertrators of this horrific crime to extreme justice and show no mercy in this case.

Untill Bush and his neocon minions are removed from power, we won't be leaving Iraq. Quite the contrary, Iran will be attacked soon. Who can think that three battle groups in the gulf are just hanging around for nothing? With the majority of all US Forces grouped in the region, it seems likely that WWIII is about to begin. Our country is more than bankrupt and our position in the world has been reduced to the level of gangsters. The conspiracy is alive and well on its course of global domination and enslavement of all people. The wealth has been and is being transferred to the elites and the middle class reduced to the bottom. It is the haves and the have nots. Logic, common sense, equality, compassion, and integrity exist no more with the powers that be. The group who killed both Kennedys and Martin Luther are the same who planned and executed 911. The Bush Family are main players in this planned destruction of America. This is why GW defies all logic and reasoning by refusing to leave his illegal and immoral conquest of the middle east. Zionist leaders of Israel are also players in the cabal who control congress by AIPAC and JDL.

Prescot Bush made millions trading with nazis during the war. GHW Bush set up the drug trade with Afganistan and still rakes in millions from drug operations. GHW once told a reporter that " If the American People ever knew what us Bushes have done to the country, they would run us down and hang us". He currently sits on the board of Carlyle Group which owns several and the major arms manufactures who are recording record profits.

The key to exposing and changing this path to sure destruction of America can only begin with the truth of 911. This false flag attack has been covered up by the government and the media. It needs to be investigated by an independent commission of foriegners. Then and only then, the truth would be found and then the American Public would awaken in full to the evil game being played. Once all oil reserves of the middle east are secured, central and south america will be invaded and conquered for the same lame excuse as was Iraq.

Expose the lie of 911 and then things can be changed. Without the truth of 911, the majority of Americans will continue to believe the propaganda and will remain apathetic.
